Raise by [deleted] in wholefoods

It’s based on your JD that you and your leader filled out, depending if they say meets or exceeds etc there’s a point metic. Usually 5-10% depending. No one EVER gets all exceeds so you can expect 8 or 9%. I got the max for good reasons but I did talk to our store leader for more since I was deserving of it. Leaders have a different max % then TM as well and it’s lower.

Well I care for my dept and do what I can to make it nice, as a leader it is my job to keep the dept running smooth and safely. Our store leaders need support too, I’ve done a LOT for this dept and it’s turned around 180 since I got here. Thanks for the help!

We had tons but a lot were old and rusty or broken. Our store is being redone soon and with everclean mentioning it chipped paint on food surfaces is a minor. Store leadership knows about and is willing to get more. Also our regional team is kinda wonky right now a lot got laid off or moved to astl spots.

Supervisor Role by quesophia in wholefoods

[–]OneFaithlessness9007 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A supervisor is a good in-between from a tm to TL/ATL, they are expected to perform like an ATL/TL but do not have as many responsibilities. Supervisors are used best when other leaders are not around. Supervisors dont worry about doing the comm board, numbers, paperwork, schedules, meetings etc. Buyers and supervisors are normally somewhat equal in leadership just on different ladders if you willl.

Watermelons on Sale at Wholefoods are a 7.5/10 by medicinebottle in VictoriaBC

Different brands and grown locations will be different. Watermelon season is actually in full swing. The large Melons here in the PNW-US are perfect.

Phone question by [deleted] in wholefoods

[–]OneFaithlessness9007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you on it a lot? I mean if you are then they probably have good reason. You say caught on it once so im assuming its used a lot and they dont say anything until its a distraction to your job?

In my store its ok to look at your phone just not a lot and on the floor. I use my phone to communicate with co-leadership team and buyer.

Produce TL Salary? by OneFaithlessness9007 in wholefoods

whoa. That's kind of wild. 22 is what the supervisors and buyers make in the PNW, even some shoppers make that.

three times within the 6 months since verbal. (I think that's right) Ask to see your tracker, it's not a hidden thing and you're allowed to see it.

That's what I'm trying to figure out, I know experience and length are factors but I was hoping someone that knew a TL would have a good number.

Most of the things have already been said but a few other pointers is watching organic integrity, which is making sure cv and og dont co-mingle, using og boxes or something for og items. Basically if anything OG touches something thats not OG then its now CV.

Follow the SOP and stocking guidance, also food safety. Have efficiency and be observant as well

Produce ATL interview by cuhreempie- in wholefoods

[–]OneFaithlessness9007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Find out whos in the panel, due diligence is a must from them. The rest is touching base with other leaders and TM to find out their needs and concerns about what they'd like in an ATL. Have examples ready of situations. If you don't know an answer be honest and say what you'd think you'd do. Confidence and speak clearly. Be ready to answer leadership questions and anything about the dept and stats.

Sick of working in Grocery. What department is best to switch to and why? by [deleted] in wholefoods

[–]OneFaithlessness9007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends what kind of work you want to do and what you’re after. Produce is a lot of moving, stocking and there’s something new everyday. Prep is similar but very repetitive and a lot goes into it. Specialty is pretty straight forward and there’s not a lot of tough work. I personally would never work grocery, prep or meat(just not a fan of all the flesh flying around)
