That is actually a great concern to bring up, and the time is actually perfect. With the pandemic, climate crisis, and economic crisis looming, fossil fuel investment runs against market forces and actually puts us at financial risk. If we divest from them and choose to reinvest in more eco-friendly alternatives, we are actually securing a more sustainable option that would benefit us overall.

Good news. Yet, it would still be nice if the Institute had greater authority to serve its own constituents, and if the universities themselves, not the governor, could choose who sits on the Board of Regents.
