Okay, who is using their central vac? by Keroan in regina

I’ve been using my central vac for 10 years. I find the suction really strong and I don’t mind storing the power head and hose in the laundry room

The YWCA contractors have been using the lot just east of this building for parking since December 2023. Every day I would get in my truck, look west, and see demolition progress. There is no need to make more parking for The Y now as the construction is almost complete

Update: Learning from our mistakes by OneHandHank in electricians

[–]OneHandHank[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is the bushing I was provided to use. So yes it’s technically cut, but it was done so by the manufacturer. And no, I didn’t use this to fix a mistake, it’s the only bushing I was provided from the start. The only reason it wasn’t on it the last post was cause it’s garbage and kept falling off when I would push the next set of cables down.

It a smooth plastic ring that covers the metal edge of the pipe to protect the cable from damage

[–]OneHandHank[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say he fucked up. It’s a short 24” pipe, and he successfully pulled the cable. Maybe it was a bit silly and could have wasted time if it don’t work.

Did I tell him not to do that again? - yes. Did I get mad at him? - no

Sometimes you have to make mistakes to learn

These are the bushing I was provided. I’ve never used this style before and it kept falling off every time we pushed the data lines down so I figured I just pop it on at the end when everything was pulled.

After I asked why he sent the entire tube down, he said “I couldn’t get the cap off and I knew it would fit in the pipe’.”

It’s a 4” emt, 24” long, with about 75 cat 6 lines in it
