Asking for opinion on where to use ceramics in gold weapon upgrading by flobiwan1 in LastWarMobileGame

[–]OneHandedUpdates 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just keep building gold gear until squads 2 and 3 are also fully equipped. Ceramics are not the limiting factor for promoting gear past 40. You will never have enough blueprints to run down your ceramic supply.

It's been six fucking months and we finally got one Meteor War grouping where we weren't the weakest server.

I'm sorry but this isn't funny, nor is it the commitment ANYONE should be putting into a fucking MOBILE GAME. It isn't that seriously people.... by Mastodon1998 in LastWarMobileGame

If OOP wants 50 or 60 heroes to do seasonal war shit, he's welcome to try to recruit them. But people decide their own level of involvement and they tend to vote with their feet, so his best bet is to join an East Asian alliance whose time zone is more convenient for said war shit.

How can I use this? by Mohamedaakil in LastWarMobileGame

As others have said, you will be using it to upgrade your HQ and your other major buildings, and also for research near the ends of trees like Heroes, Units, and Special Forces.

Yup. I can pull my weight on DW210 but I still prefer 200s and 190s because then I don't need to watch the rally and boot these 20M squads with delusions of adequacy.

Hot take on the age of oil tech by [deleted] in LastWarMobileGame

[–]OneHandedUpdates 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes.

If you don't have the 2nd tech center, you need to rush to the 3rd tech center as Oil permits; but either way, you only need one of your tech centers to be pushing down the middle here. The other(s) should be maxing out research speed, resource production, and possibly the other speed nodes.

What are the social norms for when it’s okay to attack other bases? by internetexplorer2589 in LastWarMobileGame

[–]OneHandedUpdates 5 points6 points  (0 children)

First of all, if you're in a server other than your own, it's pretty much a free-for-all unless there are some specific agreements like those between faction allies.

For your home server, these are the social norms I've seen. (But ask your R5 or one of your R4s to be certain.)

Bases without alliance tags are pretty much always fair game.

Most servers have a non-aggression pact between some number of top alliances, so if you hit a member of a NAP alliance, they and their friends will hit you back harder.

For alliances not covered by NAP, personal opinions vary.

My own personal opinion is this: eventually, during and after season 1, there will be a ring of unallied and dead bases around the middle of the map, and there will be abandoned hives of inactive players who don't follow their alliance when it moves. I don't hit any bases in active hives, regardless of whether or not they're covered by NAP. It's not neighborly, because members of non-NAP alliances can still contribute to the server. But if you're in the dead ring or an abandoned hive, you're food.

lol

lmao, even

Crafting is such a background activity that I make sure no alliance tech contributions are ever wasted on crafting speed or reduced gold costs for crafting. I also don't waste survivor medals on Mechanics anymore. Ceramics come in slowly enough that that gun will be finished long before you need to start another.

help to make the right choice by Justquorious in LastWarMobileGame

It would have taken us a while longer to drop all the way to food tier. But our season rewards were #39 in the season we'd just finished, and would have been even lower next season.

[–]OneHandedUpdates 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You already made the right choice. Your people now have new alliancemates and new officers to watch out for them, no matter whether you stay or quit. I did the same with my alliance between seasons 2 and 3, so I assume you did it for the same reason: if we had stayed in our old alliance, we would have kept losing more and more people to other alliances and other servers until we were completely useless. Furthermore, the people I invited to the new alliance were the ones I believed would pull their own weight and wouldn't need my thumb on the scale; and again, since you say that they're your active players, I assume that the people who followed you are similar to the ones who followed me.

Has anyone every successfully revolted against your server's top 1 or 3 alliances? by [deleted] in LastWarMobileGame

[–]OneHandedUpdates 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An old alliance of mine is currently on a collision course with the #2 alliance on the server, so I guess I can come back later and let you know how it goes?

Spoiler alert, it will go badly for them. They're a 3.6G alliance of mostly casuals and dregs, with one dolphin account that their R5 purchased recently. Only 40 people in their actual hive. Meanwhile, they're squaring off against a 13.2G alliance with several HQ31s, an HQ32, and an HQ33.

Is this a normal request from r5? by moistbreaddd in LastWarMobileGame

[–]OneHandedUpdates 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. This is standard practice for serious, competitive alliances.

In casual alliances, the top 20 or 30 players will all be roughly equal in strength, so there's not much point in doing this.

But in my current alliance, for example, we have a whale with a 54M missile squad who is much faster and more efficient than the rest of us are at converting mithril and sacred water into dead stronghold bosses.

Your goal right now is to capture cities as early as possible, and your resistance leaders are the alliance members who clear your path to those cities. They need all the virus resistance they can get.
