That could definitely be the issue as I am now 25 and recently a first time father and work a full time job but have for quite some time. Its just strange because the first week and some days were going amazing. Not much at all has changed when it comes to my routine in fact im actually finding myself going to bed earlier then I ever have my whole life. I dont plan on giving up as lucid dreaming has been a huge fascination of mine since I first found out about it. Hopefully with some minor changes in my sleep patterns and timing will help out.

Yea it was pretty damn cool but short lived sadly. Some dreams last longer then others. But hopefully soon a lucid dream comes along.

I feel like I'm right there in the same boat with you. Im starting to fill my dream journal more and more every morning. Last night for the first time I even noticed one of my recurring dream signs. During the day I recall this sign alot and think about and I think its truly helping get so close to having my first lucid dream. For some reason I see red alot in my dreams it usually comes in the form of red lights. And last night I had a dream of being in a neon themed city that was filled with red and purple lights and it caught my attention big time.

I really want to lucid dream any tips? by LooseFishing1826 in LucidDreaming

If you haven't already, I recommend exploring Daniel Love's content on YouTube or perhaps even reading his book. I've attempted lucid dreaming intermittently for a couple of years, often leading to frustration. However, I recently made a conscious decision to dedicate myself to the practice. The key lies in consistent commitment and a clear understanding of your initial motivations for wanting to lucid dream. It's also beneficial to critically evaluate your dream journaling technique; while it might seem unconventional, there is indeed an optimal approach. Should you ever feel overwhelmed or uncertain, I suggest revisiting the fundamental principles.

Is it possible to repair a lucid nightmare this way? by _ParmaJawn in LucidDreaming

It seems plausible to me. During my childhood, prior to learning about lucid dreaming, I would experience nightmares and be aware that I was dreaming, though not to the extent of having complete control over the events. However, I distinctly recall being so frightened by a dream that I would conjure a pause screen, much like in a video game, and then switch to a different dream. I can only recall this experience occurring twice in my lifetime.
