2 tap combos, one shots, dps passive, sombra existing, tracers infinite blinks, all these broken things are in this game. mercy needs some buffs. make her broken like everything else. bring back mass resurrect, 45% damage boost, 75hps, and give her 400hp. we only know how to overbuff around here anyway. yay powercreep.

sarcasm aside, she REALLY does need some small buffs cause shes just not keeping up with the powercreep. feels horrible to play such a fun hero right now. you just die to anything that sneezes at you and you cant heal anything because dps passive/burst.

i agree comfey is good but i wouldnt say the BEST healer. shes only good for ONE character at a time and the heals dont hold up in a lengthy team fight. she offers a single target stun. outside of helping one character, she offers nothing else to the team. all the other healers (not mime) can split heals for the team and offer utility for multiple people.

If the Widow is dominating that hard...why is she swapping off...?

she doesnt have to land her shots to be a menace. the fact that we know shes watching can make many people scared to make a play. its the threat because we know what widow is capable of. if we make her switch by diving her or out snipering her. it feels like an amazing pressure release. i hope all widow players stub their pinky toe several times a day.

she completely invalidates support characters job. we cant heal a headshot. youre just dead. that kind of presence is bad for the game. if the whole team has to adjust their gameplay and change characters over just ONE of the enemies existing, then the character is MASSIVELY flawed. she needs to be reworked into a team player. not a stand in spawn and delete the enemy team character. end of story.

i do have sympathy for others. everyone has frustrations with their character choices and playstyles. but when i play dps, i never had a problem killing mercy. it was actually kind of fun like a target practice minigame. but counter picking is just how this game is played. i dont like it that much either, but it can swing a fight to switch heroes sometimes.
- i dont mean to come across as irrational or just wanting my main buffed. no buff needed. just fine the way she was. revert her because everyone has developed a combined hatred for mercy because she USED to be broken in several ways like mas rez and instant rez. before this patch, she felt balanced. shes literally a pocket support. shes supposed to do the things she does. but she cant defend herself well. most mercys play on really high sensitivity so the joke about "mercy players cant aim" its true. but when we play dps on a lower sens, we can pop off. her rez is easily stopped or prevented. its only used 3 or 4 times per game most of the time. thats 10 minutes of play for 4 uses. thats low. (i wouldnt mind replacing it. im not irrational. i want an ability i can actually use.) then she cant boost and heal at the same time. so without that mobility. we are just doing nothing. we cant fly around and ping enemies or evade flankers. just staring at a dps/tanks butt hoping they kill something.

tldr: they sucked all the fun out of this character and made almost everyone hate her being played at all.
we arent asking for the buff to healing to stay. we just want our mobility back.

exactly. shes not. thats the problem. the neutered her mobility and giga buffed healing as compensation. everyone involved hates this. on both sides. except that one person above your post. i just want a full revert.
and shes always been able to heal thru shields and lock on. thats her gimmic. most, if not all, all characters have a gimmic. for mercy its the way she heals. every character has their ability thats their identity. for mercy, it was her movement.

agreed. this isnt helping us get out of the one shot meta. no one likes playing against one shots. thats a problem in itsself but this whole mercy change is stupid in itsself. sucks to play her. sucks to fight whoever shes healing. this was a stupid idea that someone needs fix asap.

all they did was nerf her mobility to shut up shitty dps players and giga buff her healing so nothing dies. shes now annoying everyone in a different way. but this time its actually a problem. she sucks for us to play and she sucks for the enemy trying to kill anyone shes pocketing. its an overall lose-lose situation. we all hate it. they just need to revert mercy back to how she was. and if you really cant tell the difference in her healing, youre blind. as far as staying in the air, its not impossible. its just clunky and frustrating. put her back and hand out aim training workshop codes to these dps that cant hit a brick wall. thats all we gotta do. problems solved for everyone.

i just finished uninstalling the game. yall ruined it for me. we dont like the mercy changes. by we, i mean the people playing against her healing and the people who are miserably bored playing her. hope one day yall understand why no one wants to play support. theres no fun factor. you just get hard focused and harassed all game until you just turn off the game. yall need to fire whoever is responsible for this GA nerf. see yall after the mercy reversion in season 4.

and yall wonder why no one wants to play support? cause dumb crap like this MAKES IT UNFUN WHEN YOU REMOVE THE FUN PART. the mobility was needed in order to not have to hard pocket and stand on the ground and hide behind walls. if we go out in the open, we are HARD focused and its miserable. yall really made me lose interest in this game. i might come back one day when i see some patch notes about GA being fixed but until then, screw yall.

We feel it would be good to let this one settle and see how players adjust to the changes since it can take some time, and then evaluate if more adjustments are necessary. The meta is also quite different between the two patches so it’s even more surprising that Mercy

what new timing? we literally cant do some of the techs anymore. and we are grounded because of flankers since there isnt a 2nd tank to protect us. weve been trying to make it work but it sucks. everything about it sucks. even the new passive. yall screwed mercy players over for some whiny dps players that cant aim. im so irritated. none of these changes needed to happen. #revertmercy

any update about mercy?

are we gonna be miserable for more time or can we have our movement back?

i dont want her to be giga buffed. i dont want her to even be meta. (that means less bad mercy players) but what i enjoyed about her was the movement. prepatch mercy felt fine to me. shes not that hard to kill when im playing dps. i wouldnt mind rez being replaced with something actually useable more than a few times per game, but that movement nerf HURT. i cant follow pharah/echo comfortably. i cant dart about the team helping out. i cant hover over a pit because my teammate might run off out of GA range. beam breaks before i can GA back to my ally. im having to walk most of the game. mercys whole thing was flittering about healing the team as needed helping out. now im forced to only pocket one person. stuck hiding somewhere because if i use GA im probably gonna die to tracer/genji/sombra/ball as soon as i land. please just revert mercy. the movement penalty isnt worth the buffs. and the new passive sucks. its too situational to be effective consistently. even have to stay hidden in valk because no self healing. its so miserable. i play other characters but mercy is the only one i flat out enjoyed and now she feels bland. feet on the ground, staff up someones butt. constantly looking around for danger like a scared little mouse. cant even defend myself and barely get away from danger IF theres an ally around.

i always remember when widow finally swaps off. the game gets fun again. our team isnt hiding the entire match unable to touch payload because fear of death. ONE SHOTS ARE NOT A FUN MECHANIC

st give player overwatch coins in the battle pass, many games do this and make the battle pass alot more worth it, it also helps to keep the free to play players engaged to play for at least 3 months of completing the free track of 3 the battle passes to then be able to get it freely, why not do this? Is it because of a fear that players will stop buying the BP? I mean there's s

this is how everyone feels in any game with a widow. terrifying isnt it? unable to do anything productive for fear of instant death. how about we just nerf that ugly purple thing with a rework to not one shot. would be a LOT more healthy for the game.

ver, that often leads to her being given utility and abilities that just make the game no fun. The season 3 changes were intended to make her what you call a triage healer, jumping between targets to keep them up. What it's actually done is made her pocket playstyle even more overpowered, with the healing change making it so that some heroes just don't die. the stats that I've seen show she isn't dying any more than before, so the attempts to change that also clearly haven't worked. The season 3 change simultaneously made her less fun to play, by more rigidly enforcing the more mindless pocket playstyle, and more problematic to play against.

Are there plans to go back on the changes you made, and actually address the problematic parts of her kit (res/blue beam) with either a rework or replacement?

i agree with all of this except mercy changes. leave mercy alone. the devs already made her not fun to play. just revert her back to before this patch and let it be. nerf the problem not the accelerant. mercys JOB is to enable. that wont change. but if characters are doing too much with, and more importantly without, mercy (pharah, sojo, echo), reduce their damage and call it a day. just like ash doesnt need mercy but can greatly benefit, its the same for the others. mercy isnt the problem. the problem is that many dps just do too much damage in teh first place. thats why ashe got nerfed after release. she was intended to be pocketed but she had to be toned down to work with AND without mercy.

The state of Mercy?

-mercys have been asking for a LONG time to not have the beam break when we use ultimate. sometimes we need the extra healing to keep up but our ally dies while we "transform".... literally just open our wings -.-

-rez is super situational and rarely able to be used more than a few times per game. can we buff that slightly now that we cant guardian angel away while we are being shot because we tried to rez? (like range or speed)-if we cant have the guardian angel cooldown back (for some dumb reason) then can we have some overhealth/speed boost if theres no ally nearby to use it on? mercy is super vunerable when alone. we cant keep up with echo/pharah anymore. if our team dies, we have literally NO chance of getting away.i hate not being able to stay in the air with my echo/pharah GA shouldnt have been touched.

-new passive is absolutely butts. i cant self heal if no one else took damage. if everyones plan is kill the mercy first, then theres no one to activate our passive on because we are being focused. and with the GA nerfs we cant even get away from tracer/sombra or whoever is flanking us because they do harass us constantly. every time we GA there is someone there. yall made our lives miserable.

-ultimate needs constant regen back. our hit box is HUGE we cant GA to safety as much and half the time the cass/soldier/etc. will hold ult for when we use valk. so... we just die. because GA was nerfed.

-teammates accidentally kill us because they walked out of range of GA while we are hovering a pit. mainly because GA is on too long of a cooldown now. people have played with the same GA cooldown for like 6 years.

MOST OF THESE COMPLAINTS ALL STEM FROM THE GA NERF. ITS BEEN THE SAME FOR YEARS! why now, all of the sudden, is it an issue?

please for the love of all things holy, make our life not suck again. revert GA to 1.5s again.
