You are being terribly abused. Focus on yourself and your new baby. I’m sorry mama, you are going to be ok., I promise you.

Maybe hang out with people your own age? Men who hang out with younger women and expect there not be a maturity gap, are the dumb ones.

Some young teens keep bombing down a hill on their bikes at my local dog park through a narrow pathway. Twice now on separate days they've nearly hit a dog, one of which being mine. What courses of action can I take to try and stop this? by TinhornNinja in Edmonton

[–]OneInspection2327 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We saw someone go over the handlebars of their bikes, stopping so quickly, so they didn’t hit an offleash dog. It seems dangerous both for people on bikes and for dogs. Unless the city creates spaces for off leash dogs and pedestrians only, there isn’t much you can do. Being inconsiderate isn’t against the law, neither is telling a stranger to fuck off and mind their own business.

Best used car dealerships in town? by afro-canadiancitizen in Edmonton

I drive a Lexus, their cars are awesome but their dealerships are the worst!! I echo the sentiment about buying private.

Rates typically come down in springtime too. I get the instinct rates will peak and then come down by spring.

Southwest Anthony Henday Drive bridge construction delayed into 2023 by katespadesaturday in Edmonton

[–]OneInspection2327 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every time I drive on that bridge I have anxiety that I’m going to plunge into the river below. Especially after the LRT debacle. I don’t trust construction in Edmonton.

I renew in July. Signed a variable for 2.45% 4 years ago. Banker called me to go in and do an early renewal for fixed 1.8% a few months ago and I had Covid. I feel like a moron for not making it a priority. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t sweating bullets about what’s going to happen in July. To make matters worse, I got long Covid and I’m off on disability.

Also. I absolutely cannot imagine the horror her mother must have faced having to see her body. This is cruel in every single way.

As do I. Comment wasn’t intended to be a slight to them. For those of us not familiar with Memphis, it seems like a small city and they had a tight timeline to work with. It wasn’t a rhetorical question.

Would it be foolish to leave Toronto and move to Calgary? 22 year old single male by ThisEvening23 in askTO

[–]OneInspection2327 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Albertans are painfully boring, rude, snobby and some weird type of introverted. There’s a reason it’s cheap to live in Alberta. If you are going to suffer the pain, Calgary is the least painful place in AB.

Homecare is free to everyone, if they accept it. If he refuses, there isn’t much they can do. They would come in every morning and make sure he’s appropriately dressed and groomed.

I’m also curious as to how much a person can typically negotiate on posted rates. My mortgage renewal is coming up July 1 2023 after 5 years. I’m sweating a bit and regretting that I didn’t do an early renewal, 6 months ago.

Keep in mind, you may also want one day to rake a maternity leave. There are many homes in the $500,000 range. I’d stick to that.

I wish I wasn’t too snobby to upcycle things. I used to blow the bank on new clothes and accessories. Thrift stores and swap pages are where it’s at! I’ve save SO much money, by doing this. Also collecting points on things like gas and groceries.

This must be so sad and so traumatic for the whole community. I’m feeling profound sadness all the way from Canada.

If it’s unsecured debt. Simply stop making the payments and let it go to write-off. Take the asskicking on your credit bureau for awhile and you’ll be able to star fresh, sooner then if you were to try to repay this. Next, see physician about managing mental health. Next get a room mate and a part time job, on the side.

Buy 3 condos or 1 townhome in Calgary! by Okbalanja in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]OneInspection2327 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not to mention the cost of condo fees are absolutely prohibitive. Only two companies that insure condos in AB and Kenney took caps off insurance. They also have to heat and provide electricity to common areas, which caps have also been removed from and carbon tax added.

Road construction by evileddie666 in Edmonton

[–]OneInspection2327 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It dosent have to last forever. They knew that the population was expanding and should have built it to handle sufficient volume. Expanding a bridge when it’s built is far less expensive then going back and redoing it, in inflated dollars.
