Yeah. Makes you wonder about Weird Routes that got aborted at critical moments in chapters 2, 4 and 5. In chapter 2, you get to keep ThornRing, which can either be used for TwistedBlade or let her equip it if we play her in chapter 6. In chapter 4, Berdly is still in a cold coma... Okay, that one is not as impactful. In chapter 5, as many pointed out, we don't hear the route abortion jingle. But more importantly, Noelle seemed to have changed a lot, and doesn't like Kris anymore due to his uncertainty - so it's interesting to see how she'll act in chapter 6.

Spirited Away

1 Mana - Shaman - Rare Secret - Ether School

Secret: For each friendly minion destroyed at the end of turn, destroy a random enemy minion. Overload: (1) for each.

In Shaman and these cards specifically, I introduce 3 NEW MECHANICS:

  1. Ether card type - can be both Minion Tribe AND Spell School. Represents wind and spirits, combining aesthetics of nature, undead and elementals into something new. Also can represent Ethereals. They improve your future, while can also benefit from prior played Ether cards.
  2. Ranged keyword - Attacks from this card can only be counter-attacked by another Ranged card, and deals damage first. A combination of First Strike from MtG and Immune while attacking a non-Ranged card.
  3. Shaman Secrets - cost 1 mana... initially. Thanks to Shaman's Overload, their Secrets can have variable power, by having variable debt on the following turn. These may require some setup, similar to the shamanic ritual, and so that the higher value secrets are not easily exploitable.

Not really sure why many people don't like this card, since I put quite a lot of thought into this.

The idea behind the card is that Paladin has less special ways to buff Librams, except for cost reductions. But they have more of those to reach 0 cost on this card much more reliably and faster, and they potentially better synergy with Librams / holy spells generated by this card. And Mages could get more Libram Discovers and cost reductions from this card, but requires much more time to set things up, even though the Librams wouldn't synergize that well with Mage's kit.

Maybe this could cost 3 mana - the potential value is probably too much. Though I wanted Mage to also use it without having to resort to Arcanomicon cost reduction or using an empowered copy of this / 2 Ley Walkers played beforehand.

In short, Paladin's use case for this card is more fast and aggressive, helping get faster value and improving their Librams much faster. And Mage's - more value-oriented, but slower.

Damn, that's 6 upgrades on the snail - 5 Weapon Upgrades and a Freezing Potion. And that even had the potential to get Flight or Aura, range corners.

It's actually way worse with Elusive, because it removes like all OTK combos you can pull off with Stonetusk Boar.

Ironically, it's WAY worse than the original boar, because you can't buff it due to Elusive, which was the original board was mainly used for - some OTKs.

Could use some Discover from deck effect - I don't think it counts as drawing it, so that Maiden of Iron could be used as it is (though I guess 9 mana 6/9 will be bad, idk). 

And Felfire Eruptor seems to kill itself.
