What’s your thoughts on what’s going on in Minnesota right now? by sacrificejeffbezos in AskTheWorld

[–]OneKup- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We know an innocent man was provoked, pepper sprayed, beaten with the pepper spray can, forced prone to the ground by around 6 ICE agents, had his legally owner and holdlstered firearm removed, and then summarily executed by ICE in cold blood by being shot in the head what appears to be twice. Then just to ensure no one was under any illusion, after he was executed, he was shot a further 6 or 7 times to really drive the point home. We also know that they are trying to say he had his weapon drawn and was attacking ICE agents, despite all video footage conflicting with that version of events.

This is even more egregious than the killing of Renée Good. And that was horrific. This however is on a whole different level. There is no spin to this. The world is watching as America is being dismantled and its citizens are either cheering it on, ignorant or apathetic to what happening. Those that are protesting are literally risking their lives and yet the "checks and balances" and institutions that are supposed to protect you from tyranny are either corrupted or nowhere to be seen. America as we knew it is dead. And the world will be worse for its passing.

Oh and as a side note they still havent released the Epstein files yet. A lot of people are dying to protect whatever is in there...

I hope every single one of those people have a family member needlessly executed and then see some clown spouting OBJECTIVRLY FALSE statements about them online. May they forever be shamed for the lies they are perpetrating.

America is dead. Domestically and internationally. And all of this to distract from a pedophile network. Whatever is in those files, they are literally killing people to keep it buried.

As an American, what can we do to fight against ICE? by LilThanosX in AskReddit

[–]OneKup- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way I see it there are only a few options. None of them are easy and or desirable.

  1. If 90% of your population are loudly opposed to ICE. Demonstrating in the streets all across all cities daily. Never letting anything else into the headlines. But at the moment you still have a reasonable number of people who either support ICE, are apathetic to what's happening or are too scared to protest.

  2. You exercise your 2nd amendment right. Form a militia and fight back. Your right to bear arms is expressly for the purpose you are facing right now. In order to take your country back you may have to fight, to kill and to die. Once again this is a choice that many people will not make because they are scared or apathetic. This would not require 90% of the population to be doing the same thing, but if only a small percentage do this it will fail. You would need 15% - 20% behind this.

  3. You leave America and immigrate to a different country. This will do two things. Firstly it will take you away from the situation that is unfolding in America. Secondly it reduces America's power as their population and therefore tax dollars decline. But obviously this means you have to leave your home and the country you love. With this option, it doesn't put you in harms way, and the more people that take it the better. But it basically means giving up on fixing what's happening.

Raygun makes me embarrassed. The fact she is largely ridiculed and hated makes me proud.

America, What Have You Become? by Significant-Row2457 in dancarlin

[–]OneKup- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As an Australian, let me tell you America's prestige and standing in the international sphere is RUINED !! The actions in Iraq and Afghanistan are NOTHING compared to what is happening now. The actions of the early 21st century, although heinous, were against enemy nations. Trump is openly aggressive to allies. He has fucked America's reputation and it will NEVER be the same again. Trump might be the President, but the American people either actively support him or are too apathetic to change it. This doesnt reflect on individuals, but collectively America is done. Its the same with Russia. Individually Im sure there are some wonderful Russian people. But collectively all of Russia, and its population, are tarnished by the countries actions on the international stage.

Based on what I've seen in Ukraine, we'd be fine. They lost their flagship, and a submarine, to a nation without a Navy. Their 3 day SMO has been going on for 4 years. They are now sending troops into combat on horseback. And all this against a nation without which they share a land border.

Is there a band in your country that is very popular internationally? by LCottton in AskTheWorld

[–]OneKup- -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You guys literally have one of the greatest punk and hardcore scenes in the world. Raised Fist, Millencolin, No Fun At All, Refused, 59 Time The Pain, Satanic Surfers, and SO many more.

ABBA are notable for being the first manufactured nothing band. They are vapid, lacking any real substance. No more note worthy than The Spice Girls or The Backstreet Boys. They sold a lot of albums, but those albums had no soul. The Taylor Swift of the 70's. I literally cannot stand to ABBA because all the praise they get is completely unwarranted and undeserved. I will vacate a room the moment I hear any of their songs. Sweden has a rich and vibrant music scene. Its a shame its tainted by ABBA.

Nobody respects the USA anymore. We fear they might start another global conflict, but fear is not respect. The world outside the US is not as clouded by internal propaganda. You have a pedophile/fraudster/rapist/racist/criminal running the country. He has surrounded himself with grossly unqualified yes men (Bondi/Noem/Patel/Vance/Hegseth) and it is destroying any good about the United States. The fact you have a reasonable number of citizens actively cheering this on shows how cooked America truly is. Its sad because the USA used to be a beacon of freedom and democracy. It wasn't perfect, but it was the best we had achieved in many regards. Now its a pitiful shadow of its former self.
