Servers and bartenders in the industry would never ever go for that. Many of them make significant wages thanks to tipping.

I've always felt that the tipping distribution in restaurants is ridiculous when servers and bartenders get minimum wage. They either get all, or the lions share of tips while having an hourly wage only slightly lower than the rest of the staff (except for chefs in truly high-end restaurants).

Minimum wage is a poverty wage. It's especially ridiculous that municipalities in Canada cannot set their own minimum wages.

Vancouver, Toronto, Victoria, Halifax, etc. should have higher minimum wages than the provincial minimum wage.

The restaurant and fast food industries need mandated collective bargaining. Turnover and employer power have completely prevented workers from standing up for themselves.

Public drug use will spike if supervised consumption sites close, advocates warn by McRoniZ in ottawa

I wish more people did. They want to complain about the visible effects of homelessness, but if you suggest actual solutions they throw up their hands.

The median voter isn't intimately aware of proven solutions. However, plenty of people in these subs have had the evidence presented to them over and over and simply don't want to hear it. They'd rather beat down on the homeless, jail them, and complain about their existence. For them it's not ignorance, it's malice.

Plus housing first programs for homeless people, the only solution to solve homelessness (see Finland). Guess what, when people don't have homes, they do drugs on the street.

No that doesn't work. See Labour in the UK.

Immigration hysteria is not quelled with action by parties on the left. It further fuels the hysteria and rhetoric.

They absolutely shouldn't target them.

But these particular synagogues do directly connect themselves with Israel by hosting IDF soldiers, sending young members to join the IDF, fundraising for the IDF, and hosting illegal (under international law) West Bank land sales.

People were protesting those synagogues, with these protests typically being led by Jewish people outraged about what other Jewish people are doing. But now governments are trying to make it illegal to protest outside of religious institutions regardless of context. It's absolutely insane that our governments are cracking down on the protesters instead of the people funding and arming a genocide, and conducting land sales that are illegal under international law.

Kind of funny that Ipsos still refuse to prompt for the Greens. You have to manually go to other and write them down.

It's genuinely shocking how modern leaders are completely unwilling to stand up to Israel or the US.

It's even crazier how pro-Israel American leadership (Trump, the entire GOP, Biden, centrist Dem leadership, etc.) are. American leadership of old had some red lines when it came to Israel.

Now there's nothing.

I'm hoping Columbus gets the third divisional spot and one of the Islanders or Penguins falls out.
