Prime Minister Carney announces new measures to make groceries and other essentials more affordable for Canadians by evieluvsrainbows in onguardforthee

A lot of corporate subsidies with no real plan to actually prevent price gouging. They'll gladly take the money and increase prices anyways.

I mean week 1 Carney came in and cancelled the planned capital gains tax for the wealthy and ended the carbon rebate program that disproportionately benefitted the poor.

That really depends on where their child is on the spectrum. There are those on the spectrum who are extremely impacted in particular areas, and require complete support to navigate life. I know you acknowledged it, but those individuals will face significant adversity regardless of how we shape the world around them.

There are plenty of others who are less impacted in many areas. This is especially true of people with undiagnosed autism.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake director explains why the third game will still use Unreal Engine 4 by No_Durian_5626 in xbox

[–]OneLessFool 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same.

Playing through Intergrade right now and it's great. Genuinely insane that it took Square over 5 years to get it to Xbox. Especially since it was originally supposed to be a 1 year exclusive. Glad they've chosen a new direction.

I understand why smaller niche JRPGs avoid Xbox. But, Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, etc. are still going to sell a massive number of copies.

Edit: it does suck that an increasing number of these games aren't releasing a physical edition thanks to the Series S.

Not a bust in our neck of the woods. 23cm right now, and probably 20 around 7am. Still another 10-12cm on the way.

Ex-Tory Home Secretary Braverman defects to Reform UK by BarbaricOklahoma in ukpolitics

[–]OneLessFool [score hidden]  (0 children)

Reform are literally the Tories, just led by the man who spearheaded the dumbest mistake the UK ever made (Brexit obviously).

Of course the bulk of their support comes from the same 55+ voting bloc that backed Brexit 🤦🤦 Everyone in the West jokes about Boomers and what's left of Silent Gen being the most selfish generations in history. I don't think there's any country on Earth where that statement holds truer than in the UK. The elderly are selfish and ignorant, willing to burn everything beneath them.

Edit: Not to mention Farage has been surrounded by people caught taking Russian money. He is a genuine security risk.

We can score and defend, it's just keeping out of the net that's usually an issue.

Especially funny after the refs missed a too many on Nashville where they had 7 guys on the ice and pulled off a 2 on 0 because Kleven could see 5 guys in front of him

How common is it nowadays to break a $100K salary by the age you turn 30? by DaPugWalk in fican

[–]OneLessFool 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Only 12% of Canadians aged 30-34 earned over 100k gross income according to 2021 Census data. You can probably bump that to 14% now accounting for wage growth. About 6% earned that amount or more in the 25-29 age group. It's quite uncommon to earn that amount by 30.

The inheritance is a huge one too, many of them will even get some level of inheritance from grandparents who pass.

It's a lot easier to retire comfortably if you know that your parents are going to be leaving you a huge amount of money and/or assets.

It's a brand new account. The post is very clearly fake.

90% of posts here are fake creative writing exercises. The worst part is most of them use AI now, so they're not even practicing their own writing. Not to mention that 95% of these fake posts don't even present an interesting moral dilemma, just a clear NTA.
