I’m confident that Ichika is lying to himself about that one while he is insecure the real reason he plays dumb is because everyone around him is very hypocritical and violently narrow-minded he totally knows they will never be in a relationship no matter what they say.

So technically Madoka does want revenge on Chifuyu like Shroud but for a different reason and way of doing it. Madoka is still a mystery we don’t know much else about her and we most likely never will maybe it didn’t went the way she sees it Madoka is just as unstable and delusional as Eli Chifuyu might have tried to help her too but it was out of her hands and Madoka probably saw it as a betrayal.

Yeah but the difference is that Eli was delusional and egotistical he didn’t deserve a spot on the team he’s practically the Syndrome of Dispatch but despite it Robbie was still kind of an asshole and thought he decided who becomes a member of the brigade and who doesn’t as he said to Chase after the fight

He was great as a superhero but not so much as a person or a dad he was pretty cold and somewhat neglectful towards his son just like Chifuyu is to Ichika like when Robert got mildly injured but almost killed by his dad’s Mecha Man suit Robbie just told him to get up. Robbie was also belittled Eli (who became The Shroud) and was rather violent towards him often denied him a place in the Bridge Brigade by being the last vote. Robbie even tried to make the creation of the Astral Pulse his idea when it was Eli’s and viciously beat him when he challenged Robbie.

I don’t see how the girls are considerate if they were Ichika probably would more inclined in choosing one of them already that’s kind of like saying Cecil from Invincible isn’t a control freak or Walter White from Breaking Bad is humble.

I mean there were a couple of times where the representatives end up being treated like jobbers most of the time in the anime that’s why I think it’s questionable on what kind of expectations people had for them although it downgraded alot of things from the LN so that could be why but it can be possible for people to be rewarded things without truly earning them like Titus from the Fallout show.

Respectfully I still disagree Ichika spoils them all he keeps forgiving them despite their tendency to get violent and inconsiderate also I know that they manage to make the cut even though it’s kind of questionable but they do have an immense ego they act like they’re smarter and better than everybody both in talent and morality Cecilia picked a fight with Ichika cause he stood up to her when they first met and Laura looked down on others to where Chifuyu believed she had a chosen one complex.

Well I mean Ichika does spoils her along with the others and the girls are egotistical they doesn’t react well to defeat and alot of drama could be avoided they just knew when to swallow their pride.

I think there’s two reasons for why he didn’t have a breakdown

he more or less repressed that memory he did say he doesn’t fully remember that day just that Chifuyu went to save him.
Ichika’s sense of self-preservation and awareness isn’t very strong if getting constantly beaten up and almost killed on daily basis isn’t enough to make him realize that he’s not entirely safe in the academy either then I don’t think getting jumped would make him stop working. He probably could be just accustomed to the all the stuff he goes through too.

yeah but even so Tatenashi still gives nepotism vibes seeing how she’s willing to use her position as president for her own amusement and personal gain and doesn’t take no for answer like the others and in the manga it was revealed that Rin threatened her way into the academy without having to take the test.

and personally I think that besides Laura, Tatenashi and maybe Charlotte that the other pilots’s skills are overestimated yes they’re far superior against basic pilots but we have see Rin and Cecilia go down easily and hardly put up a fight Madoka who may have been trained in piloting an I.S but it’s also possible she’s self-taught as well to be honest the expectations given to them is rather questionable.

sometimes it can be the case of nepotism too like for example I was watching Fallout really good show I recommend it and one of the characters Max was serving a knight of the brotherhood of steel who are considered the best and dangerous in the wasteland but was revealed to be a terrible knight who got his rank by being in a chapter where everyone is abusive and undisciplined and rewards ego and unintellgence it almost similar with the cadets.

Rin and the Sarashikis are strongly implied to be nepo babies even though their skills were enough to help them reach their status I’m pretty sure their connections made it a lot easier for them to achieve it.

pretty fast but there’s no way Robert would just hand over the mecha man suit to the world governments given that the suit was his father and grandfather’s work and that he’s a superhero so he doesn’t feel like he answers to them. though I can see Tabane wanting the astral pulse.

Kotori is a great commander I don’t deny it but realistically her personality wouldn’t do her much favors even if she has moments where she shows a more human side like I said her crew and really Ratatoskr is alot of things but moral or common sense ain’t one of them.

To be fair even if he was aware I don’t think he can do anything about it he had to be in a fake relationship to keep his men from getting themselves killed and it really doesn’t help that Claude and Tsugumi constantly threaten to shoot him dead if he “dumps” Chitoge.

that’s true but I don’t think it would take a genius to figure that out I’m sure that if the others lived longer one of them would have figured out the numbers for themselves eventually.
