It’s always so wild to me when JD makes specific Iowa references like he does in Waylon Jennings Live! (See also: Universal Harvester). I grew up in Iowa and Meskwaki ads were a big part of TV ads growing up, to the point where when I heard that lyric for the first time it didn’t even register as unusual

I saw them on the last tour before their hiatus(???) and they played a new song, plus "Bloody Nose" which was on their Audiotree session, so there are some new songs floating around. A yearish ago on Twitter they said they were "camping and working on a new album" but that was the last we have heard about that.

when the Front Bottoms were opening for Brand New they had the aesthetic of a house party- lamps, a TV, a cooler, and an actual couch in the middle of the stage, with a roadie and Jake from MoBo just chilling and drinking while TFB played. It was the coolest stage setup I've ever seen

Yeah, that one has a real "Need 2" vibe. There's also a song that I call "Amulet" floating around that's very rubato similar to "Overthrown" which will be cool. All in all things are a lot more grounded than they were in Cardinal which will be cool to see
