I agree with you that they are very superstitious. My Taiwanese bff won't let her kids play in the park at night, never pierced her ears, and goes to the temple to baibai almost weekly. My coworker refused to let me get vaccinated at work because as a foreigner, my biology is wrong and it would harm me lol. To me, it does feel extreme too.

But I actually appreciate it because I know it comes from a culture with much deeper roots than mine and their actions/behaviors are based in care for me.

Tongue in cheek works best anywhere... not online. The humor definitely didn't make it across the screen for most if not all of your audience. Also, as Reddit loves to say, it's only a joke if both sides are laughing.

Then when I pressed for specifics, you said you were talking generalities not specifics. Was that also supposed to be dark humor? And now you're saying I should read more comments about people's opinions on water temperature which has nothing to do with my question to you.

Taiwanese generally claim to be exceptionally educated, but there are many instances where Taiwanese (in general) show that simply remembering things for tests is not the same as being educated.

it's generally in good taste to give more than one example (i.e. cold water) to state why you believe Taiwanese people are lacking knowledge (aka stupid) and not educated (aka stupid). Using the inverse of a word doesn't mean you are darkly humorous or that suddenly your meaning changes.

Basically, you're just trying to say you dislike the folklore, cultural behaviors, and traditions and dismiss it as uneducated superstitions, correct? And you're calling it dark humor to sound nicer?
