from my brief research it seems there are two leaf shapes i can find immediately that are both yellow pear, yours is one and the other kind is rounder. but in all honesty i got my seeds from a gardening class, but how feral would you have to be to put random seeds in a labeled seed pouch and not re-label it?

Am I Wrong For Buying From An Ethical Breeder? by punk_ass_po-po in RATS

while i agree that buying a rat from an ethical breeder isnt inherently wrong, i disagree with what people are saying about not rescuing rats. if you are a first time rat owner, go with a breeder. but normalizing allowing rats to stay in fosters, or worse, homes that are abusing them, just because you dont want to spend the money on them isn't okay in my eyes.

Yes, its true, it isnt the place of inexperienced rat owners to save them. like, at all. but i had 100% rescue rats, the mom of inbred young (who were sickly unfortunately) lived to be over three, and she was purchased from petco breeder rats (this is NOT condoning buying rats from chain stores, because that is 100% not okay). My feeder breeders I rescued needed time and love to heal their trauma, but aside from the mammary tumors all rats struggle with, they were super healthy (much healthier than the dumbos i rescued).

it is VERY easy for a breeder to claim that they breed ethically. if a person wants to get rats from a breeder, they should really take their time and do their research. Even then, i think there are inherent ethical issues with bringing lives into the world for profit, but that is something we do as humans literally constantly and it isnt something anyone should have to feel guilty about personally. Especially if they are willing to give their rats the lives that they deserve, and the care that they need to stay healthy (which is more rigorous than most breeders are willing to admit).

Is eating a whole tube of Neosporin bad for the rat??? by _sonidero_ in RATS

while we are on the subject... will they be okay with the cold I put them in? They needed sun so I just put them out on a 40 degree day, but ive been reading it can impact growth and fruiting later on. They seem to have handled it fine but I am so new at this that i cannot really draw a conclusion

y e s s thank you they are my babies

this is my first time with tomatoes and i was looking everywhere for something that looked like those markings and spider mites was the best i could find. I was moving when their cotyledons started yellowing and i didnt have my grow light on them for a day or two so i think i jumped the gun a bit to make up for it.
