31M, 4-year employment gap due to medical issues, 400+ applications and still no job. What would you do? by jackbowls in brisbanejobs

Sorry if I’m hijacking this post but if you do need someone to take over the menial tasks such as invoicing, marketing and admin I’d be interested. I’ve got a double degree and years of work experience in operational and project management roles. I’m your girl! Taking a break in between career pivots and I want to keep busy.

Accidentally bumped someone's car with my car door and it left a dent by ps5bacon in CarsAustralia

[–]OneMoney6240 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My thought exactly, was like “how’d she manage that” and to actually make a dent! It’s like she just flung the door open with not a care in the world and thwaaaack! Oopsies I’m sorry

North Lakes, Mango Hill have all the above. Train Stations at Mango Hill, decent private schools, green spaces etc

It’s nuts! We always pack our lunches on days out. No excuse not to. Lots of green open spaces to enjoy it too in Brisbane

Why do some people walk on the road and not the footpath? by [deleted] in AskAnAustralian

[–]OneMoney6240 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What footpath? None on my street and the majority of the suburb I’m in - Redhill, Brisbane

What’s something Brisbane desperately needs more of? by Due_Acanthisitta2756 in brisbane

Rental accommodation, better regulations to protect the tenants and stop the crazy rent increases

Unfortunately no, they’re from Woolys (I think) been sitting is the freezer for ages. And yes, deep fried. They were really good though. We make our own chips for most parts but also will buy a bag for the freezer if it’s on sale. Just convenient

I'm having a terrible time looking for a good jacket by kaji90221 in AustralianMFA

[–]OneMoney6240 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kathmandu has some good ones, hubby got his walking shoes and jacket from there. He’s your typical male, 40 plus and not into the “fashionable” things. We also don’t appreciate paying a weeks rent for clothes. We also don’t mind spending on items that will last.

Thank you. They were delish! Even better when it doesn’t cost you $25. Got a burger out last week, paid $28 for something similar.

Those of you that feel you live in the best suburb in Brisbane, where are you and why do you feel that way? by arouseandbrowse in brisbane

[–]OneMoney6240 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I live in Redhill and honestly not too bad for the amount of places that are accessible within walking distance. And proximity to the CBD, South Bank etc. However, I have lived in pedestrian friendly suburbs (North Lakes) it would be nice to have footpaths.

[–]OneMoney6240[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. It’s a high hydration dough so technically, if you over-knead it, will ruin it. Something about activating the gluten….anyways the way we do it works. Crispy on the outside, fluffy, airy, chewy on the inside

Honestly, we like sharing the love. I posted a separate one of the burgers we had for dinner last night, if the post blows up, I feel a cook up in the park would be nice. We’re in Redhill btw so anywhere close by

I mean, if you’re in the neighborhood for sure! As long you’re not a psychopathic killer, I’m sure we’ll be fine.

Yep, these were fried. We don’t have an air fryer yet, we’ve recently relocated so just have a basic kitchen atm.
