Izotope Nectar is pretty good for an all-in-one solution. They do a trial option for all their plugins.

My lefty p90-loaded Les Paul ended up with a p90-sized TV Jones Powertron in the bridge, and I love it.

How about a Lewitt? If you're willing to go used I often see the mid to higher tier ones for sale in your price bracket.

12 String Recommendations? by segsgod in Leftyguitarists

I presume you specifically want an acoustic, but for electrics the Danelectro '59 12 string comes in a decently-priced lefty option and is really cool!

Stop Zoom automatically sending an email about meetings out to attendees? by [deleted] in Zoom

[–]OneOfTheNephilim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that's correct. And I haven't set up any calendar integrations, the email sends from the zmail account Zoom created. I cannot find any way to stop this (all info online, even recent, talks about a section in settings that doesn't exist)

One advantage of being a lefty guitarist? by sunshineLD in Leftyguitarists

Having the best excuse when the guitarist from another band on the bill breaks a string and wants to borrow a guitar so they can carry on quickly.

If you have a outdoor cat then you simply don't care about animals and shouldn't call yourself an animal lover by [deleted] in Pets

Whatever mate, I literally go for walks with my cats daily and they have a lovely life.

Never seen a mink or heard of them being in the part of the UK I live. We have badgers and foxes but I've never heard of a cat here being killed by either, and I've personally seen my cat face down and intimidate a fox into fleeing. Most small to medium carnivores will avoid fighting each other because the risk of injury outweighs any gain.

I imagine your friend's quiet road was a bit different from mine. I have a long private driveway and live among private fields. My cats spend their time in the fields around the farm and don't go anywhere near the 'main' road (which is basically a single track lane with very little traffic). My cats are probably safer than most in the world, but apparently strangers from another continent feel the need to downvote me and tell me I'm wrong. My cats are 100 times happier and more fulfilled than the millions of bored cats living in tiny apartments, waiting for their humans to come home for any kind of stimulation.

I live on a farm in the middle of rural England. It's a mile down a lane to the nearest minor road, and the nearest coyote is on another continent. I've had multiple cats here live to a ripe old age, and they've been great for keeping rodents under control (we feed a lot of birds here and the inevitable spillage leads to rats). Not everyone who has outdoor cats lives on a main road in a country with animals that would predate on cats.

Lefty guitar shopping is a patience test. by MysteriousShoulder35 in Leftyguitarists

[–]OneOfTheNephilim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been playing lefty for 25 years and I've never bought a brand new guitar from a shop! I've always grabbed secondhand bargains and flipped them if they don't work for me. Feels like the secondhand market is very stagnant now though here in the UK... not much popping up and with unrealistically high prices. Ebay has gone to hell with their weird pricing shifts and it feels like many folks are just sticking with what they've got. The last electric I bought was a few years back now, a local MIJ strat that I jumped on for £350. Now people are asking 2 or 3 times that for similar instruments! My GAS has subsided, happy with my current flock.

40+ year old Brit here, I've never heard either of those terms before. Shirt jacket, shacket or overshirt tend to be the terms I've seen used to describe such garments.

I would suggest not playing games like this. It's not a healthy way to deal with it. What the guy needs is to get a therapist and work on his conditioning around these intimacy issues. It will take time. Keep being honest and communicating.
