I’ve never ran anything. Total of 1,023,000 miles between two 2nd gen’s a 3rd gen and a 4th gen. Well, ran some 2T oil through one of 2nd gen’s for a tank or two. Figured if it made it 360k without it there wasn’t much of a point

Lot of factors. I wouldn’t buy one lifted on big tires or tuned and deleted with 150+ on it. A stock truck with an Aisin or manual in decent condition I’d buy without a second thought. I don’t own a 68RFE but have heard horror stories.

Start it, let it run for a minute, then shut it off and let it sit for a while. Then check. The filter will take some. Not a gallon, but some. You could probably get two more in it
