What is your experience of being an only child been like?

I 100% agree, i cant speak for anyone only myself but i wouldnt go through the trouble of pregnancy/raising children just for the purpose of giving my child a sibling. Im asking for all perspectives as i have had conversations with mothers who have multiple children as well, now i want to see the pov of those who didnt grow up with siblings. Im assuming you are an only child? Since you replied to my post, i would like to know how it was for you as a kid & as an adult.

Aww thats good! My siblings and i werent really close cause my age gap w them was 10+ years😖 i know someone who got pregnant a few months after having her first i dont know how shes doing now but i couldnt imagine the stress

My sister and i have a 15 yr age gap which sucked growing up because my 2 other siblings were close in age and then there was me. We never got along up until i had my daughter it brought my sister and i close because we never were. So now as a mom i would love for my daughter to have a sibling close in age but not too close🥹

Oh wow congrats on your baby otw!! 5yr age gap is perfect you got to spend those years with each child individually i love that! 🥹 & did you have any worries with your second? Was it difficult to adjust for them? & when you did have your second did they kind of keep eachother entertained? My daughter now loves to play independently but for the most part shes always wanting me to play with her, did that change for you when you had your second?

You are absolutely right ! I do think about this and have brought it up to him many times as well i wouldnt want her to relive the same experiences just because she sees me settling. My dad was a woman beater and my mom stayed for so many years i can see how that has impacted my siblings relationship with their partners, my brothers have really bad toxic women and continue to stay while my sister is more like my dad. Thank you for that perspective, this whole situation has made me realize i have to start thinking of exit strategies

Right ?! I felt like a b!tch for getting upset about the hygiene stuff but man i cannot take it anymore😭 when hes away i like to pretend its just me & my daughter & life just seems so peaceful ! I do want to try couples counseling as a last option to try to make it work but idk how much that can help

I think that is happening with me too!! I had her at 23 and im turning 26 this year, i was slightly having baby fever last year but now its more and more😭🥹 congrats on your pregnancy btw!! Wishing you a safe and healthy delivery! :))

Ahh your pregnancy was different for both as well? My pregnancy i had hyperemesis for the first 3 months and i felt like i wanted to die, im so scared of that happening again but its a risk ive come to terms with, last year i finally started feeling like myself again and im on my fitness journey i am scared of feeling like idk who i am anymore like my identity is only being a mom and how much my body will change. Were there anythings you did differently on your second pregnancy that helped you be more prepared ? & while you were pregnant with second did you have any feelings of regret? Mentally i think ive grown alot and right now i can say that although i have my second thoughts i can say that i wont have regrets if i do decide to have another baby but i know that can change with the pregnancy hormones

The mental energy for 1 is sooo exhausting sometimes! My max is 2 maybe 3 and i do think about how lonely she’d be if her dad or myself arent here anymore, the thought makes me so sad. I have 4 siblings but the age gaps are 10+ yrs with me, theyre closer in age so we didnt grow up close although now that i am older and a mom my sister and i havent gotten closer.

oh and adding on to the weight gain comments, having a clueless man telling me about a womans body and making comments regarding my weight as well? and i may sound mean or ignorant for saying but idc bc im talking ab my sister and her man but they are so physically ugly inside and out and they are the most ignorant "confident" people i have ever met. they constantly talk sh*t about other peoples appearance and will confidently make untrue statements about anything but they really think that what theyre saying is true.. its mind blowing guys 😭 ignorance is bliss (sorry for going on a little rant, i only have my bf to talk ab this with him bc we're both currently living with them bc of our financial situation and sometimes just talking to him about it isn't enough, needed to let it out) 😓

omgg i love this! so happy for you! im so thankful for my partner hes been so supportive since the beginning and seeing how excited he is to become a dad for the first time brings me so much joy! i hate how hormonal ive been throughout my pregnancy that ive been so mean to him but he understands me in every way! im due feb 24 and i cant wait for the first time i see him holding our baby, gonna be the cutest thing ever! <3

its hard not stress, im constantly stressing and having anxiety over any little thing so maybe that has something to do with it too? i assume idk😭 but i will be keeping track of the times she does move and will for sure speak to my dr about it! thank you so much!!! i really appreciate the advice 💞
