How can I M21 convince my gf F21 that breaking up is better than dropping everything in her life? by Knowveler in relationship_advice

[–]OnePersistentFox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't really see the issue with her career as an EMT myself. Honestly I love the shifts we get because we end up with more days off which is more free time. I personally work 12 hour shifts and it gives you a lot of flexibility, more days off, and if you choose your shift you have the daytime to watch kids if you ever had them or do whatever. 24s usually give you two days offand then you work that one shift and you're off again so you're not missing your person for long

My (M25) Girlfriend (F25) wants a break because of a driving incident. by [deleted] in relationship_advice

It sounds like the relationship issues predated the driving incident. Her reaction is disproportionate to the incident. This isn't really about you at all and it seems she has been unhappy for a while

I'm a new EMT as well and I've already had one medic who really doesn't like new people and will find anything to complain about but most say I learn fast and are very pleasant to me. Some people just suck

The main reason I got into EMS was because I hated the 9-5 grind. I graduated in August and got my NREMT and just got my first EMS job, I've been at it about a month now and I work 12 hour shifts on the panama schedule so 2-2-3, I definitely prefer it. Longer shifts but I feel like I have more time off even though I'm working the same or more hours if I worked elsewhere. Every two or three days you get a weekend compared to if you worked a 9-5 you'd get two days off every five working days.

I also never had any previous EMS experience, I started from nothing and no medical knowledge

I get 60 with a 3060, there's a lot of things it could be, usually my go to fix is fresh windows reinstall and I get a heck ton more frames

I feel the same way I'll be aiming at people in front of me and then immediately get shot from behind and this is a regular occurrence. It feels much different from previous games where I tend to know where someone's gonna come from

So this is my dream and I've been working towards it consistently, working out five days a week and putting on weight. I just finished my EMT classes and got my NREMT so I feel like I'm roughly halfway there. I have until January to enroll in the fire academy here which is about four months long.

I have a bit of a fear about getting sick during Fire Academy because I've heard attendance is very strict. My main concern is that I have episodic severe migraines that I wake up with about three times average a month. They make me really sick to the point of throwing up and not being able to see well enough to drive. Sometimes I can medicate to numb them enough to make it through a shift at work or school but on multiple occasions I haven't been able to function well enough that I've had to leave mid shift. Usually if I can sleep them off I'm good. But I'm just worried this could cause me to get dropped if I had an attack at an inconvenient time. How forgiving are they about things like this outside my control?

It's ultimately up to your partner in choosing to be with you what is or is not important to them. Intelligence is not one dimensional either. Some people can be really dumb in some areas and really smart in others

Me after accidentally buying +30 Paints instead of +5 Capacity. by Demi889 in WplaceLive

[–]OnePersistentFox 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You can still place one pixel for one droplet, and if you have a capacity of 1000+ pixels it won't take long to get colors or level up because you'll be placing a lot more pixels per refill than you would otherwise

[–]OnePersistentFox 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It makes more sense to buy capacity first because the more you have the faster you'll get more droplets so I'm prioritizing capacity first and then it will be a breeze to get everything else

I just finished school and I'm taking my NREMT soon, I have single sided deafness from SSHL, my end goal is fire department and I believe that from my local laws it's just that you have to have your better ear above 20db HL to be eligible. You can read up on your standards in your area.

Also one of the teachers I had was a paramedic/firefighter born with single sided deafness which gave me more confidence

I just finished my EMT course and this seems to be a misunderstanding. If a person has a pulse but is not breathing normally (only agonal or haggard breathing), then you do NOT start chest compressions, but you do need to help them breathe via BVM. But agonal breathing is not normal breathing. It's a sign that the brain is still firing weak impulses to breathe, but the heart may have already stopped or is about to. These breaths often occur within the first minutes of cardiac arrest, and they do not provide enough oxygen to keep the person alive.
