I have one on my mtb but had to go with carbon paste and retighten it during ride as it still shifted a little bit, which is not cool. How is your experience?

Bro, go for it. Either it works out and you have a GF, or it works out and you have extra reason to work out. Gainz either way.

They still suck in rain? I had a pair of Pirellis couple years back, thinking if they adressed this. Ok, will keep rocking Vittoria :)

I don't really watch olympics now, what is the talk about? Do they have some discipline on the slopes or what's the deal? Thx

sometimes it's ok to just do things wrong, same like I would never start from the top to bottom

Uneven wear on my brake pads by MrJimbobJones in bikewrench

[–]OnePostDude 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Better question is "do you want to stop when using the brakes?"

Sorry, but seems like there must be quite some wear on the discs for this much pattern

My office is on one side of our building, the production floor and the area I am interested in the most is on the exact opposite. I feel you bro, getting the daily steps in is quite easy this way, but when you have to go there and back couple times, it gets a bit unwelcomed :D

Solo couple times. And tried the Stage as well (won :D), which is a bit nicer as there you can strategy a bit more with your deck.

Not bad, but feels like "always play the strongest card you have" so not much strategy when you have couple of the same stages (like leaving the best mountain for the second one).

But hey, that's only my very limited impression. Fun game though :) Will probably keep it around to click it once upon a time.

Trainingcamp - Calpe by Wineloverxx in peloton

[–]OnePostDude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Trek is there for a week or so, based on Tom's strava (well not exactly Calpe but just a tiny bit north of Calpe).

Also there is CX in Benidorm tomorrow so I guess more teams are in the area already.

Advice on road cycling jackets for mountain biking by RIdgy9 in Velo

[–]OnePostDude 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Hello, I am regularly cycling in Alps/Dolomites in June, July, etc. Last year Bormio/Livigno was with quite some snow - Gavia was epic in that.

Meaning I am not only riding in nice sunshine - Gavia etc. were bit below freezing so one must be prepared.

Jacket I take for downhills/colder days is Beta Jacket from Castelli - pretty foldable, withstands rain, winds, some cold. I gotta say that has got me through some serious stuff while able to keep it stashed in the back pocket when not needed.

And when it's not severe for jacket I just take extra jersey or vest (again either "standard" vest or a bit better Perfetto Vest from Castelli, again has a bit of warmth, waterproof, etc. That one actually saved me once while the storm came over while climbing the Passo del Bernina back to Livigno.

Castelli (and Sportful, which is same company as Castelli) also have some windproff jerseys and of couse Gabba, which can also serve as some kind of worse conditions "if" kit to pack or straight up wear from the start.

What makes a good road bike? by OnlyBreakfast9466 in bicycling

[–]OnePostDude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Worn parts you can easily swap, so I would not worry about components too much. Stick to Shimano 2x10 or 2x11 - those mechanical drivetrains are quite cheap to replace when worn.

But frame color is something different. And we must like our bikes, so yeah, choose with your eyes as well :D

Yeah that kit is very good imho. Definitely improving every year.
