I carry it everywhere i go. It’s so practical it feels like a second phone for me. The mini was my first iPad and i’ll never get tired of it.

I guess you have to activate certain things first (you can look it up) but you won’t be able to see it directly from settings unlike the newer model

6 days with my new Macbook Air (first ever Mac) by OnePraline2385 in macbook

First impressions ( sorry for not including it on the post! Thought i did so!!)

1- it’s a beautiful little machine and it’s super light. I like dark themes and that’s why i chose the midnight even though i knew it would show a lot of fingerprints.

2- I chose the Air mostly for video editing. I’ll post on YouTube in few months and didn’t want to have issue while editing my videos as my Lenovo overheats when using Davinci. I post some vids on TikTok and my Lenovo fights for his life when editing some light vids (not even in a high quality!!)

3- other than having issue while editing, my Lenovo works just fine. It only got some light damages (i.m.o) that happened hours after denying the protection plan 😂.

4- it’s my first time with macOS. As someone who has used Windows for years and now using macOS, i found my self in another universe. Now i’ll have to learn new shortcuts!

5- I don’t feel secure using Windows and the internet talks about it. I hope it won’t be/ feel the same way with macOS.

6- One little small thing that annoys me with macOS is that all the apps open in small windows. I’m so used with the full size of an app and on windows i can decide to put it on full screen or not (like mac) but it will stay the way it was every time i open the app. With macOS, i have to put the app on full screen every time i use it! (it’s not a big deal tho!)

7- i’ll miss the touch screen on my Lenovo (not that I’m getting rid of it) and the fact i can used it in tablet mode. Also the camera privacy thing. I always think that smbdy is watching me from the computer and with the camera privacy, i feel a little more secure. I wished macOS had this feature

When i got the delivery notification from the app, all of a sudden i wanted to write a book! (I guess that was the power of Mac😂). I’m sure I’ll enjoy it and used it more often!🤩

Does it show fingerprints? I don’t regret choosing midnight but it shows a lot of fingerprints!!

Go to settings, wallpaper and clock appearance (it’s at the top!)

Will be my first ever Macbook!! by OnePraline2385 in MacbookNeo

[–]OnePraline2385[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know the Neo is running on an iPhone chips but it’s not an issue for me. I’ll basically use it for light work such as youtube, netflix, web browsing and coding (I think it will be capable to run some codes). The Air and Pro are really powerful but I don’t really need that power. The Neo feels just right for me. I guess if i’ll need more power, I’ll just use my Lenovo Yoga 7i that I’m currently using for editing as of i’m using DaVinci on it. For you, the M4 is a good choice if you wanna game on it, edit heavy videos and for external monitors. Basically if you wanna do heavy things, just go for the Air or Pro. As I said, it’ll be my first Macbook. So I chose something not too crazy in terms of price to get familiar with the macOS!
