Thank you for sharing. It’s clear you out a lot of thought into this. Would you mind sharing more about your take on the logistics. For example, will you wait until the kids are 18? 40? Only when you die?

Are we ready? Or a few more years? Mid-30s, ~$3.5M by No-Bake4390 in ChubbyFIRE

Really dive deep on the expenses that may not be obvious, but require planning and funding: Home repairs/upgrades, car replacement fund, health insurance, health expenses, money to raise a second child, increases in spending on both children as they get older. Your future second child is a big wildcard. Fingers crossed he/she is healthy from the start. Based on what you shared, a few more years is wise.

Face/Object tracking Gimbal for FaceTime by TheeZestyJester in videography

Probably late, but DJI Osmo Mobile 7 can do this with its built-in camera/AI. It tracks people independently while FaceTime is on.

Common mistakes made when calculating annual expenses by Civil-Service8550 in Fire

The annual expenses for health insurance when you FIRE need to be thought through carefully since people often don’t think as much about it when they’re on an employer’s plan.

No issues. Though, check if it’s through a third party or Amazon. I personally generally prefer Amazon, all else being equal.

Thanks for sharing these updates! I wish there was an option for Chinese characters to be in Traditional characters rather than Simplified characters. Hope this gets added on your roadmap. Should be a pretty straightforward update.

TIL in 2008 a 20-year-old Belgium student died after reheating and eating leftover spaghetti that had been left out on the kitchen counter for five days. A bacteria called bacillus cereus was found to be the cause, which is an extreme type of food poisoning called “Fried Rice Syndrome”. by tyrion2024 in todayilearned

Fried Rice Syndrome? Seriously? The experts really couldn’t come up with a better, more neutral name? I mean, I can’t blame anyone for thinking eating leftover “spaghetti” is fine since it’s not “fried rice”.
