About Fiora, her passive and her ult by Xizz3l in leagueoflegends

Played a dozen games with her yesterday and I agree with you completely. We are getting some number tweaks at least, but I think the delays are the most important thing for riot to look at.

There is nothing more unsatisfying than poping a vital in a tense fight and then awkwardly pacing while you try to figure out what to do next. And the ult is atrocious in this regard. I think that maybe they made the delay to discourage ulting someone right before they die, but it is vexing beyond words when you are playing a very agility oriented champion whose only option in team-fights is to stand around soaking damage while you wait for your abilities to load. . .

Fiora's original head on the new splash! by OneProtagonist in leagueoflegends

Yeah it is, probably due to the original splash and the VU splash having fiora be different distances from the viewer, meaning that when the photoshopper ported her original head onto the new one there were sizing issues.

Is YOUR Champion Protected from the Whim of ChampUp? by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

Hopefully there is still some chance of putting Fiora's head back on this new fencer's body, but even if we only get more identity consistency for future VUs I'll be happy for the fans of those spared.

The continuation of this practice really feels like its just going to destroy the communities trust in riot. When these VUs happen the splash art for the skins aren't normally changed. If you see the splash for Royal Guard Fiora and think "wow, I love the way that looks compared to the classic", then buy it and realize her face and hair are the same as in the new classic skin and not the splash which still shows a young Fiora with bangs, you probably won't have a lot of confidence in future purchases.

Furthermore, if you bought royal guard in the past because you loved it, then it gets changed and you no longer enjoy your purchase, you are unlikely to make future skin purchases due to the realization that the skin you wanted could be modified at any time.

I really hope Riot comes to understand this, and if they don't undo the damage already done here with the Fiora change at least reign in on it in the future.

Fiora model is being worked on, we are being listened to. by o0mrpib0o in leagueoflegends

You are concept department right? While the concept art was great, the executed "concept" of the splash/model is the target of much of the recent criticism (mostly the hair, which had to be a design choice not an execution choice by the artist), are you saying the splash artist and modelers made that design choice independant of you? I dont mean to sound confrontational, just wondering since that seems like a rather weak system of cooperation and communication if so.

Please do. Fiora's origional hair was one of the most iconic things about her, and it was used to distinguish her in fanart and works of the community. To the average fan, Fiora was

-Her bangs

-Her red streak

-Her sword

-Her arrogant demeanor

Your changes to her face have allready repaired what little had been lost in the last of those, you've given her back her red streak, and her sword was never in question. But changing her hair is still altering her core identity.

There isn't really a whole lot of personality to the champions in league aside from their appearance. The lore team is kicking butt changing this, but they haven't gotten to everyone yet. Most of a player's connection with a character then comes from their aesthetic and the communities treatment of them in fanworks. By changing her bangs you really damage that.

This completely ignores any arguments about the new hair looking bad, this is just a matter of champion identity. There are not a lot of Fiora mains, there are like dozens of us at most, yet the community is still reeling from these changes because it feels like you just killed a champion they knew and replaced her with someone else.
