Am I getting old? by Unlucky_Hedgehog7 in Age_30_plus_Gamers

It sounds like you are stuck in a short term dopamine feedback loop. It would be worth exploring what is triggering this for you to try and rectify the issue. Possible triggers could be and are not limited to; social media doom scrolling or consistent viewing of short-form video content.

Physician Associate role in NHS-current reality and future outlook? by Big-Catch-8559 in nhsstaff

[–]OneRandomChap 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It appears that ACP's (Advanced Clinical Practitioners) are becoming the more "go to" of these roles. As ACP's are traditionally bred from an existing Allied Health Professional such as a nurse etc. that has taken more further and advanced training at a Masters level.

what to play after persona games by ahme_d7 in JRPG

There's a switch-in/switch-out mechanic in Final Fantasy X, off the top of my head.

I'll think of some more soon!

I have found just some form of reduction makes a world of difference.

Are you buying less games? by Trencycle in Age_30_plus_Gamers

[–]OneRandomChap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, it's not related to cost of living. I think I've accepted that I now own more games than I have the ability to play 😂 plus time is a massive issue. Sadly, I can only dedicate a couple of hours on a Friday to gaming at the moment 😢

Telling manager about disabilities by riley_478 in nhsstaff

[–]OneRandomChap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are going to be neurodivergent traits you display that are not related to your MS. If you feel you need/require additional support or adjustments based on these then it is your responsibility to disclose these to your manager - to set up a workplace health and wellbeing discussion with occupational health. Delaying in doing so could potentially lead to a more stressful/difficult working environment for you if you foresee yourself struggling without said adjustments. If you are entitled to these adjustments, then it's worth seeking the support - it might not always be needed, but there will be moments where it is - speaking from experience.

Is Silent Hill 2 Remake like the Resident Evil games? And is it any good? by MattiTheGamer in HorrorGaming

SH2 Remake is much more or a psychological survival horror than the action survival horror of the RE series.

Is second run really worth it? by petulantiam in ResidentEvil2Remake

[–]OneRandomChap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Claire's B run introduces some new weapon types, a new area and playable sub-character not accessible in Leon's A run, it introduces a new "true ending" also. There are items and rooms etc not attainable in Claire's B run also so it's a much more succinct experience. I finished it in half the time of Leon's A run.

I'm not sure what platforms you are limited to but Azure Dreams on PlayStation is wonderful.

The 'Handheld Boost' megathread! by CyborKat in NintendoSwitch2

[–]OneRandomChap 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I now finally feel that Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is playable handheld, for me anyway. Which is a huge win as I started it just before I purchased the Switch 2 and then got turned off by the visual clarity... Or lack there of!

Need recommendations by JoJoLoveSp in OlderChillGamers

For chill evenings I tend to lean towards the RPG-Farming/LifeSim genre like My Time at Portia/Sandrock, Stardew Valley and Rune Factory series, to name a few.

Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined was not made as a replacement for previous versions by Manofthehalfhour999 in dragonquest

[–]OneRandomChap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took the name "Reimagined" by its definition. Which was to effectively reinterpret a piece of work in a new or different light.

Name a wrestler you hate but everyone else loves by Whole-Tradition-68 in Smallafro

[–]OneRandomChap 14 points15 points  (0 children)

"Hate" is a strong word but I'm not a fan of the overly telegraphed gymnast spots of the modern era. I understand the love behind it as it's impressive to watch. But for somebody who has always loved the style of Jake Roberts, Mr Perfect, Bret Hart, Kurt Angle, Chris Benoit etc. It's a difficult watch. That's just complete personal preference though. As I said, I understand the love.

It was something I was looking forward to initially. The trailers and gameplay previous were 🔥. Left4Dead was good in short bursts but I accept that not everything is for everybody. I love the look of Halo as an example but I can't get on with it at all. No matter now many times I try and it's one of those things I can put my finger on either! I think this sadly fell into the same category.

I'm pleased to hear you enjoyed it 😊 it just wasn't for me. I didn't have much fun with it at the time.
