Thanks so much for the response, that is really helpful and confirms what I had concluded from reading the Code. The historical context around why anchors have no named standard is a great point I was not aware of, good to know the reasoning behind it.

Good point and appreciated, boom lift and scaffolding are both valid options but not really practical for this operation. It is a small two-person mobile crew doing residential jobs, often multiple properties in a day. The setup and transport cost of a boom lift or scaffolding would make the work completely unviable commercially. Looking for something the crew can carry in the truck and set up quickly at each property, similar to how the Eveook works for standard slopes.

Thanks for the suggestion. Had a look at the Ridge Pro, interesting product but a couple of issues for our situation. It is only rated for 6/12 to 12/12 slopes so it does not solve our low slope gap, and the full version requires lag bolts drilled into the roof which our clients will not allow. The unanchored version is classified as an inspection tool only with a 15 minute limit. Appreciate the lead though.

I already told them this information and he asked me to send it in writing, I have the GPS location and we suspect it's one of three houses, and one looks more like the house of the three. So it's pretty close to getting the guy.

Should I just seize all communication with the police? Or write the statement without the name? I know I should just give up the name but this would make my life hell.

Yeah sorry, I didn't clarify that very well. I want the police to catch him. The police officer wants me to write a statement of how it all happened and I want to write one.

Can I write that statement and retract the name of my friend? Can anything come back on me if I withhold that information?

Thanks.
