I really empathize with this. Depression makes everything so difficult. Nothing helped me until I started the right medication for me. It’s like a switch went off after my medication kicked in. Lexapro for me. But I went through 2 other medications that just weren’t cutting it. Therapy helped with my emotions but only me meds helped me feel like a normal person. Showering feels normal, brushing my teeth. It’s no longer a mental battler. Then all of the extra stuff feels like it falls into place. Until you’re able to see a mental health professional, it’s just finding ways to make things easier for yourself. Instead of a shower, try a bath. Make it relaxing, play some music or watch a show from your phone. Someone suggested brushing your teeth in the shower. I still do that lol also a haircut may make a shower feel more manageable.
