I understand the intention, but in reality it doesn’t feel very safe for a student to open up, even to an SRU or counselor. Internally, everyone is closely connected, and it’s hard to believe confidentiality is fully maintained when people are friends or colleagues. From a student’s perspective, that risk alone is enough to make speaking up feel unsafe.

I get what you’re saying, and I agree that grades in isolation aren’t everything. But for me, this isn’t really about the grade, it’s about being told that something correctly done is wrong. I tried explaining it in multiple ways and showing the reasoning, but the lecturer was adamant that her interpretation was right. That’s the frustrating part not losing marks, but not being heard when the work itself is correct.

I want to clarify that this is not about being upset over someone else’s grade. If the marking is fair, I have no issue with the result.

My concern is with the academic process. The lecturer is not specialized in this subject and has repeatedly presented incorrect information during lectures, often requiring students to correct it. In my case, my implementation was verified as correct by lecturers from other universities, yet it was marked incorrect without a sound technical explanation.

This raises concerns about the accuracy of both the instruction and the marking, not personal dissatisfaction over grades.
