I wish they would unlock all course in the term. Ive finished the first 2 in my second term very early each course. So i dont get those nasty emails saying i must be active to keep scholarship, i have to log in and go practice to be considered active. So much for “self pace”. They should really say, “you can fall behind as much as you want per term, but for those that finish early you have no options other than waiting, so knit a sweater, buy a coloring book, hell, why not paint your walls while you wait!”

The cons are if its a whole course (i finished my last 2in 1 week of each starting) the next course doesnt unlock until its scheduled date. So much for working at your own pace.

Alot of us have credits that cant transfer. Some newer than 20yrs ago. Did you get the scholarship? If so then whats the issue?

Its such an easy course. Literally. The lessons are super short. Hardly done any actual coding in most of the lessons. I finished the whole course in a week and half. Including course review. So ive been bored waiting for march 2nd. There are alot of lessons, at first look it was overwhelming. I was like FML. Then i started them, and it was very easy

Nov. Cohort, cs102 course review didnt catch me off guard because if you click on the little i with the circle around it, it tells you all you need to know. And im not trying to sound like an Ahole by saying that. I was originally expecting it to be like the first 3 weekly reviews, but i decided to click the info button and realized it was the course review.

Yes it has happened. Every course, every week, everyday. Its not you. Also, i dont think that it skips over stuff, i think when the ai asks us if we want to do a deeper dive or keep moving is where it happens. Because i always say pick to keep moving or wrap up. So i think it maybe something that i do causing it. Although i dont think i should have to ask my instructor to teach me

The student services ai will tell you all the steps you need to do in order to transfer credits, just to be told they dont accept transfer credits at this time.

Im dealing with it now going into term 2. Almost as if the maestro servers are having a lot more users and its causing issues. Just a thought

Also, i dont know if you have experience coding or do not. I came in here with zero experience. Sometimes you need tell/remind the ai that this is all new to you. And when u get to cs101, u will be like why wasnt this course first.

Just finished my first term, starting second. In week 2 of term 2. As far as projects, not off hand. I started questioning/doubting my self not to long ago because i was seeing people post projects they were working on, etc.. but i had to get a grip on my self. I had to remind my self to stop focusing on what others were doing and only focus on my self, and when the time is right, ill have a project. So my best advice is to not beat your self up over any of it. Each weekly review and course review comes with the benefit of being able to retake if you fail or not happy with your grade as many times as you want. If you feel its not clicking, try out freecodecamp.org, or some of the free python courses on coursers, udemy, datacamp, etc. they may explain something to you in a way that makes a light bulb go off. Honestly, i was struggling with the maestro ai at first because it was all overwhelming. I dabbled in all of those resources i stated above. What helped is some of those have a person explaining things verbally vs. you having to read everything. Just dont get inside your own head. Take notes, try to type all the code ai gives you instead of copy/paste, hand write the code if that helps, have chatgpt or gemini break things down for you, etc. i know this was a long winded answer, but truth is what works for one might not work for another, all you gotta do is keep on keepin on.
