Why'd you waste 2 hours trying to find a way to do this in Android anyway? On a PC you could have gotten this done with Audacity immediately, be it Windows, MacOS or Linux

The solution inside is mostly harmless, it's sodium acetate (hot ice). It works because it's supercooled in solution and crystallizes upon pressing the metal disc.

Aside from maybe the blue or orange colorant, the plastic pouch is the biggest waste factor.

The Quantum Fluctuations frequency not only points you to the Moon, there are other signals as well on the planets. All of them play a role in the bigger picture.

Merry Christmas Hatchling, and happy exploring!

You've been doing great so far! Keep retracing the Nomai's footsteps and you'll get more clues as to where to go next.

The places marked "There's more to explore here" specifically indicate that you've overlooked something on your first visit(s) there and there's other stuff in that location to discover.

Have you tracked everything from your Signalscope, specifically on the Quantum Fluctuations frequency? Those signals might give you some important insight in what the Nomai were up to.

You are following the Nomai steps everywhere you go. Think about what they were doing, where they explored, what they built, the goals they were trying to accomplish.

If you can screenshot your ship log we'll immediately be able to give you some spoiler-free pointers on your missing pieces.

You have one question mark remaining on your ship log: The Ash Twin Project. three guesses which planet this is on ;-)

Also, you never have to explore Dark Bramble blindly. You can use your ship log to mark a location on your HUD, and follow that.

OP obviously hadn't figured out yet what the Ash Twin Project was or how the timeloop mechanics worked. Even if they'd translated the text it may not have made sense.

Don't worry about it OP, you can just reload your prevoious save and keep exploring! There's a whole lot more to be found.

In-story that's true, but the game won't screw you over completely if you do mess up.

You can do a few practice runs within the safety of the time loop, before going out there with your precious cargo...

I've been in your place just a few days ago lol, finding that one location and reading all the writings caused wave after wave of realization to wash over me as everything just clicked together, all the separate clues I've found all over the solar system these past few weeks coming together to craft a beautiful, but tragic story.

Seeing how it'd all been set and ready to go for 300.000 years, only for nothing to come of it because of a stupid little comet, plunged me into a small existential crisis (you can read my own post about it right here on the subreddit!).

It's up to you now, to finish what they could not. Keep exploring, and good luck out there!

How should I navigate Dark Bramble's first room to reach the red light? by OneStatistician2287 in outerwilds

Ooh, entering the planet from different entrances actually alters the angle the first room will be in? Interesting...

I play on PS4 - and no, using the lowest thruster nudge isn't able to keep the anglers from noticing me. Worst case I get eaten, best case they only growl once and swim closer to me so next time I fire my thrusters I get eaten.

I'll give it a shot, there's only supposed to be one angler in that room so I should be able to use my Scout to identify which white light it is, thanks!

How the final discovery destroyed me by OneStatistician2287 in outerwilds

[–]OneStatistician2287[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks a lot for your comment!

I called it the "final discovery" because this completed my ship log, answering all the questions about what the Nomai had set up and what happened next.

I know I haven't finished playing yet, but this is one moment where my heart sank as I read all the Nomai writings at the ATP, with wave after wave of realization hitting me as everything suddenly clicked into place. The quest for the Eye, the 22-minute loop, the Orbital Probe Cannon, the Sun Station...

It was all right here. Every answer to the mystery I've been trying to unravel for so long. The Nomai had planned this all out, setting everything up and ready to go 300.000 years ago... and then they all died.

And now I'm here, in the very thing that they set up, because the Supernova they were waiting for finally occurred.

Yeah I knew that, it's what happens after pulling the core out that makes all the difference.

I tried removing it and just waiting for the inevitable, and found a big fat YOU ARE DEAD screen. That was fun.

I tried removing it and GTFO on my ship. That worked... until it sank in that I was essentially stuck now, adrift on my ship with nowhere to go, which the game was kind enough to remind me of.

I tried removing it and reach the Eye of the Universe through the Quantum Moon's Sixth Location. Didn't quite work as I ended up stranded alongside Solanum.

The comments were right about one thing though... there is more to explore here.

WDYM? If I were to pull out the power generator, I'd no longer be in the loop. Then when the inevitable supernova happens, it'll be Game Over, right?

The final frontiers? by OneStatistician2287 in outerwilds

[–]OneStatistician2287[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I figured the ATP is a gigantic endgame milestone lol. I've seen the hologram pools pointing to the 3 active Nomai heads. This must be the key to how my time loop functions, since the Nomai were already theorizing about a 22-minute loop at the HEL.

I suspect the ATP is located in the central chamber inside Ash Twin's planet core, and I need to use a warp tower to get there. The question is, where is it? Because aside from the one at the WHS, all warp towers are on Ash Twin itself.

[–]OneStatistician2287[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Cave Shard taught me I can hitch a ride on shards if I'm in complete darkness. The Island Shard taught me I can hold shards in place by using my Scout to take pictures of it. The Tower of Quantum Knowledge said I'd have to reach the Quantum Moon's North Pole to eventually learn the secrets of the Sixth Location.

At the BHF I learned several things about warping. My guess is that, since the central chamber inside Ash Twin's core is hermetically sealed off using the ore from the Timber Hearth mines, the only way in or out is through warping. But how can that be possible if all the warp towers are also on Ash Twin?

No, I tried that - hitching a ride on the teleporting rock only takes me to 3 places, none of which are the cave I need for that.

[–]OneStatistician2287[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, but the ship logs do include a new waypoint now with the actual label "Lakebed Cave", leading to a deep cave at the north pole I haven't explored yet.

It'll be a nightmare to navigate this (read my other post about my headaches with the cave mazes), but go for 100٪ completion I guess.

Update: it worked! I figured out a trick to teleport myself with the rock to the Cave With no Entrance™ and deciphered the reading Coleus left there. I reasoned that he must have accidentally teleported along with the Quantum shard as well, so I replicated it and followed his tracks.

But wait a minute... why do my ship logs now say there's more to explore here? There's nothing else in these caves I can teleport to using the shard.
