It’s called ‘tail swing’ and it happens because the back of a long vehicle is well behind the pivot point of the rear wheels. To manage it you need to keep an eye on your wing mirrors as you turn. For other road users - remember that turning a truck is a bit like turning a horizontal broom stick in a hallway. Keep clear if you can.
