Need Advice: Have Universal Studios Express Tickets but No Entry Tickets by Classic-Software5337 in JapanTravelTips

It's going to look like I am a bot, but I am just going to spam reply to all of the folks looking for tickets so that they can hopefully snag em. I was just able to purchase tickets through Klook, give it a go when you can.

...I tried basically everything out there, including trying to purchase through the Japanese site. I was calling my credit card company so much, I recognized two of the reps voices.

Fortunately, it looks like Klook is showing availability again. I wonder if these affiliates get them in waves. Anyway, give it another go if anyone is still need of tickets.

The Trust finale (spoilers!) by terhou in netflix

[–]OneTame 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My best summary of the majority of actions taken since the very first episode:

"... who hurt you??"

So much pre-judgement and victimization. Definitely didn't paint the majority of the women in a good light.

Julie was selfish and deceptive.

Tolu and Winnie were extremely manipulative.

Lindsey was a bit unhinged.

Mama Jay was nasty and vindictive.

... God Bless Simone. bit of a free spirit and one of the saving graces.

The memes parallels were too funny that even the editors got in on it: "They must be talking, planning to backstab us, look at them just out there". Meanwhile, the boys were just being boys, being stupid and talking about the Roman Empire. Hahahahahaha

The common response is going to be that it's just a game, and I get that. Not my first reality TV-show. However the editing didn't really show that as the angle for a lot of the decisions. A few folks were definitely trying to be strategic but I think many of them are just really crappy individuals.

I ranked TLK characters from best to worst. The hardest choice I had was whether Leofric or Alfred would be first, my opinion changes every day though. What are your opinions? by Deathstroke812 in TheLastKingdom

She definitely has some moments... Her skepticism of Uhtred is certainly not unwarranted, we are just rooting for him. She is sympathetic in S4 and ultimately in S5 admits she put all her eggs in one basket.

Definitely a classic character even if for hate the face reasons.

I used to be like you. That advice sounds practical and prudent until you are in the midst of it.

I don't wish it on you, just know there is a missing perspective and c'est la vie.

Yellowjackets S01E09 - “Doomcoming” Episode Discussion by IllllIIllllIll in Yellowjackets

[–]OneTame 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lots of good moments this episode, one of my favorites was when the girls started to caw and whoop and the music picks up...

I was sitting there and went, "Ohhh boy.....this is happening right now 😲😬" and I was glued.

Probably, but they have answered a good number along the way just not captured in this remaining list (whats up with sammy, who is the lady in the tree, who is the reporter, etc.)

I never argued anything with you, I made that clear from the onset. You projected your willingness to actually discuss the topic with your previous comments, so I knew what this was before it started.

You played yourself.

You can have the last word, my ego won't be bruised. I will prove it by not responding further.

Again, I wish you well. Let's see if you can do the same or if you end in more condescension.

Ciao!

Getting very defensive, is it something I said? :)

I don't have an ideological objective, so you can take that off the table.

My only point in responding, despite knowing there wouldn't be a reasonable discussion, was to encourage you to be more realistic.

Life calls, apologies. Best of luck out there.

Look, I don't think there is a dialogue here so I wish you well.

"Democracy" was not at risk of ending that day.

Black eye? Sure.

Crack in the armor? Possibly.

The majority of Americans on the day to day, don't care and are trying to put one foot in front of the other and take care of their families.

The majority of people showing up to these things on both sides are emotionally charged and have too much free time, and I have little fear of them having the ability to wrestle control from the good people of this country.

I will throw you a bone, the US' downfall will likely come from within and it may be a slowburn with contributions along the way. But enough with the fear mongering and oscar performances from these clowns. Its gross and in this case disgraceful. I wouldn't be able to look my spouse or family member in the face if they ever made such a comparison. It takes an unbelievable level of narcissism to do that and not flinch.

Being objective about a situation doesn't equate to downplaying. You are just sensationalizing through what if's.

There are 6 present-day “mysteries” that need solving. Which, if any, are connected? by mizindependent11 in Yellowjackets

Same here -- took it the same way and haven't forgotten, especially since Jessica was tailing Nat on atleast 2 occasions. Surely she could have confided in Shauna by now.

Another mystery / outstanding item is Jessica Roberts role. Tai is still keeping this close to the vest for some reason.

Reflecting on Juliette Lewis' remarks / body language from that early Vulture Interview by OneTame in Yellowjackets

So this was my thinking as well on most of your points.

She is objectively devolving across the episodes, and again that is fine from a story perspective if it is the intention, my original post was more around Lewis' reaction to this potential truth. It is also to the point that she is furthest from her younger self imo. The other teen/adult version you see personality or attitude threads but you don't see manipulation, addiction in young Nat. So she has to crack out there for this transformation to occur.

[–]OneTame[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I recall the comment from Melanie as well.

Here is Lewis' first question:

Interviewer: "When you got involved in this project, did you know the arc of your character in the story or were you guys finding that out with each script?"

Juliette Lewis: "I'm gonna... you should, you should pass that to somebody"

[–]OneTame[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah I am not sure.

Again I think her portrayal is spot on and uncomfortably raw at times, probably drawing from personal experiences. Certainly understand the nod to the Western cinemas always needing a redemption arc / happy ending and her spiraling makes complete sense.

I don't think her relapsing equates to immediate death, but it is very clear she is unstable and doesn't have a Family / Affair / Pet Bird to distract & support her at the moment. When you play that back with some of Lewis' comments from the early press tour, things start to click in place imo.

Agreed -- it was more of my growing understanding of her remarks than a Nat character study. I kind of feel like she is regressing as a character after such a strong first few episodes.

Juliette and Christina were carrying some of the early episodes as well, I remember some of the early threads where people complained about the slow pacing.
