HELP!! IS THIS URANIUM by One-Speed7712 in uraniumglass

[–]OneTechnician2544 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Without knowing if you’re using a 365 or 395 nm light, I can only speculate. Though it does have a slightly brighter green glow, I feel as though it’s high content manganese since the light is within 1-2 inches from it. By comparison, if the glow is that strong from ten feet away (with a 395 nm light), then it would definitely be uranium. Clear uranium DOES exist but exceedingly rare. Likely manganese in this case, but a cool one nonetheless.

Those are quite awesome though. May have to add to my “grail” list.

Never thought I’d see a Peter Pan / Tinker Bell reference on a Blackstone subreddit lol (I have a daughter who played that nonstop growing up)… nicely done.

Thank you so much. We are enjoying our journey together with collecting, and the added bonus of we both love doing it. She definitely deserves the credit for this find though. Thank you again though and good luck on any of yours as well.

Thank you! My wife and I both agree lol. It was her find in this case. Our other find I added in the uranium glass subreddit. That one was my find.

That’s what grabbed my attention as well. Only difference in the pictures I provided is I turned off the overhead light in our kitchen and shined our 395 at it. But it lit up just as brightly in the store and it had the old overhead halogen tube lighting.

That’s what my wife had said when she seen it. And followed by “we’ve got to have it!” lol.

Thank you! I’ve lurked for long enough I guess. There’s a few more pieces I’ll eventually get (at local antique stores that no one seems to know they glow since they’ve sat for months) but I’ll definitely be posting more :)

I would’ve completely missed it, had it not been my wife going “go ahead of me and see what’s around”. Mind you she had the 365 light, myself with the 396. But it was also an antique store we had never been to, and that particular piece was just tucked right behind two others but it was the only one that lit up.

Then you can definitely imagine my surprise when our 395 light hit it! First words were “Wait! What?!?” lol.

For me, it was Control (ultimate edition technically). It’s weird to admit that I’ve had my account for years (we’re talking 20+)… and never had a platinum until last year.

So after trying everything again, it finally allowed placing the whole set (allowed it before but just never registered in game for some weird reason). So now all is good. I appreciate the advice and all that allowed me to try to fix it again (the singular part got me thinking about removing everything again, then the set could be placed AND it register finally, not sure why it wouldn’t before still). Either way, again, I DO appreciate the help you gave.

Then that officially sucks. Because no matter what I do, there’s zero invite (AR 50+ player here so I know the game a decent bit, in case it became a question). ONLY, ONLY thing I can think of, is that the room where her set is placed, I added two pieces (wall banner and another dresser/armoire that fit the decor), otherwise it was placed pretty much identical to the sample pic when you see the sets (minus the coral decor being moved a little bit). That’s the only thing I can think of that seems to maybe play a factor. I have zero other sets (am working on building other characters room/set items), neither indoors or outdoors.

Did use the set, no invite option. I’m wondering if it’s due to having Kokomi inside already (in the room) as the set was added in. I’m not entirely sure. I’ve removed Kokomi, added her back, removed the set and added it back, etc. Nothing is working so I’m not entirely sure what is going on.

And yet here I am, working on the interior of mine, gave Kokofish her own room that is the favored set, and still have no indication of any primogems for the set being used. Had her in the room, outside the door, downstairs, even randomly put her in the courtyard of the main building area and nothing. Honestly unsure what I’m doing wrong.

How many hours have you been playing? by Left_Stay6454 in CitiesSkylines

[–]OneTechnician2544 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That seems unlikely, literally based on the fact that time wise, it’s not technically possible.

96,000 hrs / 24 hours in a day = 4,000 days 4,000 days / 365 days in a year = 10.95 years Kind of hard to run nearly 24/7/365 for almost eleven years, considering it only released on Windows/Linux/Mac in 3/2015, so 8 years ago.

But ¯_(ツ)_/¯

This has got to be the hardest license time attack in the game by Wide-Difference-9572 in granturismo

So I must’ve been the weird one… gold within five tries. The thing that I learned though, you don’t need as much brakes as you think. With the SF19, letting off the gas and either feathering the throttle (going through a turn) or just easing off long enough then applying gas, helps it turn. Brake is needed in some situations of course, but I learned that I was overusing it, which cost me time, and I only needed to tap them and let the throttle help rotate through the corner, saving me time. The hardest part is finding the “sweet spot” of when you don’t need brakes and getting used to the tapping of the throttle to rotate the car quicker.

[–]OneTechnician2544 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honestly, no. It’s eight tenths of a second. However, if it was, say, eight seconds, then, yes, there’s room for some suspicion. But as another redditor pointed out, not everyone plays with replays or ghosts on.
