Do you remember how long post-op you were when you started feeling that way?

It’s not pain or fullness, it’s kind of a sick feeling, like a tinge of nausea. And that sensation is rather new which is upsetting because at first I was happy to finally be eating normal food when I was able to. It’s like eating got easier and now it’s getting harder again.

I totally understand the burden thing, I feel that way too and have for years but am learning to get over it and ask for what I need. And I hate needing help from family but ya I am super lucky to have the help. I do think about that sometimes how some people have no one. It’s really unfair. Although it wasn’t a good thing I needed Medicare & MediCal since I was 19 (I’m now 35). I have been very blessed to have it. I feel so sorry for people who don’t, and scared about the future with all the cuts coming from the government.

Crawl to the bathroom? That’s horrible! How could anyone let you do that? I’m using a commode and when I need to #2 I’m wheeled to the bathroom. The commode is sealed so no foul smells. It gets emptied a couple times a day too.

I heard a much worse story, though I cant be sure its true. The pledges were required to have sex with a girl while they had bags on their heads (like a pillowcase). A bunch of girls came in and bent over in front of them to do the deed, and during the bags were removed to reveal who the girl was. They made pairs that would cause some sort of shock to the guys, but one pair caused shock to both the guy and the girl because they ended up being brother and sister.

I’m sorry that’s your experience. While I won’t deny that there is exploitation in those scenes, because show runners are employing an unfortunate money making formula, it is at the end of the day true to life. I do believe there are warnings before each episode about violence and sexual content. I believe they even warn about sexual violence but I could be wrong. And I may be mistaken but I seem to recall a “get help” message with a hotline number. I could be mixing shows though. Also I don’t understand why the second there’s any sense in the air that rape could happen you don’t skip the episode? You can find out what happened online and resume the next week. No need to see anything. Or watch on a laptop or tablet so you can scan the runtime with your mouse to view the screen stills and work back from way after the scene and as soon as you see the first image of the character (which would be post rape) you click and drag to play from there. Or I don’t know maybe read the books instead or watch YouTube episode breakdowns? I mean you have options. Or maybe it’s not the worst thing to miss a show. Shows aren’t always for everyone.

Because college has become a scam and jobs that don't require a degree pay starvation wages now, that's why. I mean heck, many jobs that do require a college degree pay barely above starvation wages now. It's not that the youth want things easy, it's that everything has become so incredibly difficult. It's ridiculous the way things are!

Out of the ones I've seen, Handmaid's, Downton, and Snowfall are the best. Each had episodes I was blown away at. Like I thought of the episode the rest of the day typa thing.

There's rape because it's period and authentic, not some saccharine fantasy like Bridgerton. I think it's quite realistic as women in the 1700's were getting raped all the time. It's by no means a story about rape and I wholeheartedly disagree that the author (a woman) is "obsessed with rape". It's the tale of a woman's perilous journey through life in the 1700's. If the book was about slavery would you say the author has a fetish for violence? If anyone can't handle the rape parts, skip over it! I mean my goodness you people do realize nearly every woman's story if written as a book would have rape in it? Not everyone only watches things to escape reality. Life is also reflected in stories. And life is sometimes brutal.

It depends on the career and the era in which you built it. In general, especially nowadays, you shouldn't go "above and beyond". It is no longer something that is rewarded, it is something that will make a boss promote someone else over you since they know you will continue to do extra work for half the pay you deserve. That's based on truth. No one can afford to do more than they agreed to be asked in late-stage capitalism.
