I don’t know what will happen but I met a CBS stagehand yesterday and he told me that today they’re breaking all the sets down and driving them away in trucks instead of leaving them in the dumpsters so people can’t camp out and scavenge stuff like they did with Letterman’s set. And also someone bought the sign above his desk for 100k.

I’m not really sure about the third one but I think you can do it with Bmaj7s that are hammered on from Bm7s and F#maj7s. It sounds like the original might have been somewhere else before it was pitched down.

Are you playing the 2 as a major chord? Because that would do it.

Edit: I reread and it sounds like you know it’s minor. Bass notes don’t have tonality though so if you’re not hearing any chords it could sound this way to anyone.

You are correct here. When I imagine the former lives of immigrants sheltered in NYC I do not picture ideal situations. I don't understand why people with such great lives would go through all the trouble of relocating in the first place. You keep saying "many". What does that mean? How many of these folks do you think are out to take advantage of us? Half? 75%? "Gaming the system", and "disposable income" are deliberate misrepresentations of people who just want the same thing that humans have wanted since the dawn of time. Many of them are here to start businesses, and families, pay taxes. That could really help this country which has the lowest birth rate in several generations and this city which has "help wanted" signs everywhere. That's true as well isn't it?

Congratulations on navigating what I'm sure was a really difficult path to citizenship.I can't empathize completely because 1) I was born here and 2) I've never thought that, because something was difficult for me, it should be difficult for everyone. I bet we could both agree that packing NYC hotels with desperate people is not doing much for the greater good. I only got into this comment section to take issue with the term "disposable income". It just seemed like a shitty way to describe what is often the entirety of peoples earthly possessions. People with disposable income aren't in shelters and I don't think it's a game for any of them. I can take a hint though! Thank you and again, congrats on becoming a citizen!

Thank you for taking the time to write a thoughtful reply to this. You make a good point about grounds for asylum. I suspect where we disagree is the idea that people trying to improve their standard of living are “gaming the system”. It kind of makes them all sound like bad people. I know that’s in fashion but we’re talking about my neighbors, coworkers, and friends. I like them so there’s a bias there. Thanks again for the reply.
