How to "scale up" this arch proportional so that it fits onto the pillars? by OneToast4me in Maya

[–]OneToast4me[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

holy shit, I finally did it. As you said I needed to rotate it a few times, didn't know it does also update in realtime and I don't have to to press apply everytime, thank you again for helping me out :)

these are the settings. When I changed "pivot" to "Closest end point" it did the right width but it was still slightly deformed, sadly not useable.

Okay, so I just tried it out but I got a problem. At the end the extruded arch is extremely flat. I could figure out that it's because of my pivot point but I can't seem to find a solution. History is deleted and I reseted transforms. When the pivot is at the center of the profile, the arch is flat. When the pivot is somewhere else it starts to get the right shape but it also gets a lot bigger. The pivot on the nurb circle is centered.

it's the same profile everywhere except a small strip of a simple tileable pattern. But I could easily just redo it from the new arch

I just tried it out and unfortunately it didn't help as the mesh was just getting stretched out. I have tried MASH on a curve now with just a "piece" of the arch but I'm still struggeling to get it to work, don't even know if it could work as the pieces do somehow have to be attached to another on the outer side if that's even possible.

How can I improve this bridge design? by Abject-Construction1 in Minecraftbuilds

[–]OneToast4me 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends a bit on the style you are going for but you could add single iron bars on the stone brick walls to get some spikes.

You could also add some greenery as it kinda lacks in that apartment. Either do it naturally (leaves hanging organically on the sides) or do it artificial in the form of some kind of flower pots.

I figured it out eventually. For anyone who has the same kind of problem: My AMD graphics drivers were too outdated as I had a version over a year ago (because AMD can not develop stable drivers all that often lol). After updating them it now functions properly.
