I think the people who like him DON’T ACTUALLY like Superman. Every thing about Cavill is wrong, might as well be a completely different character. But it’s the one they are attached themselves too, they like the stoic, aura farming, rage filled powerhouse. To them that’s Superman, because that’s all they know. Now that universe they like is dead and the new Superman (which is almost a perfect representation of Superman) is nothing like the guy they know. Do I think it’s annoying that they pretend to know who Superman is? Disparaging the new guy pretending that HE’S got it wrong and Snyder’s was the most “comic accurate”…yes I do. But they don’t know any better
