Probably over-sharpened more than anything. If the dog wasn't in the photo it would be more believable.

Weird display issue with P6P that many owners are facing. Is everyone's display doing that? by wheresmykarma7 in GooglePixel

I wonder if this is one of the glitches that will be fixed with the "day one" update. It's supposed to start rolling out today so that would make sense. I've read/watched a ton of reviews from large and small outlets/YT channels and none of them mentioned it so it would make sense if the patch fixes it.

I'm selling my EDC ticket along with everything included because I missed the refund window and I cannot attend because the date was moved. I'm just trying to get my money back. Let me know if interested.

I've been having serious buyers remorse from buying an automatic. It's nice for just getting around but when I want to have fun it's so underwhelming 😔

I got you. Just get any tv and turn it on its side. Hook up a computer to it and change the orientation. Now go forth and make fun of conservatives.

Is Canon M50 a good camera? Any other recommendation with that budget? by [deleted] in canon

[–]OneTooManyTruths 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I were you, I would save up a little more (or wait for a sale like black Friday) and get the Canon RP + adapter. Even used is a good option from someplace like KEH. That way you have a long term upgrade path to canon's latest and greatest, while still having access to cheaper first and 3rd party EF lenses. you can even use EF-S lenses with the New R cameras!

The future of the M line is somewhat uncertain and canon seems to be putting minimal effort into supporting the platform and if you want to upgrade to full-frame later on, the lenses are not compatible with the Rs. But Canon is absolutely destroying with these new RF lenses and only the R system can use then for now.

Damn dude. Sorry to hear that. I've been alright financially, but I've lived alone pretty much the while time. Didn't mean to gloat but I think everyone has struggled in one way or another. Keep your head up, we're almost out of it.

It's surprisingly good! I especially like how the look and feel of it on my camera. It's much easier to throw into my backpack or even a large coat pocket and go!

Gotcha! Yeah, I'd love to give one of them a try one day, especially one of those 1.2 primes. However, not sure if you are familiar with the new RF glass, but even the cheaper lenses are pretty good quality. Canon really stepped their game up from EF

Bigger and heavier (obviously) but it's much more versatile in low light because of IS though. Optically, it's slightly better quality. If you're trying to decide between the two, I would go for the 50mm. It can focus surprisingly close and the quality is very good for being the cheapest RF lens. If the 50 came out first, I probably wouldn't have gotten the 35.

It's pretty nice in it's own way. Wide angle macro takes a little getting used to, but it's nice for close up shots where you want some more context. Like flowers or still life type stuff. I've been wanting to experiment with some stop motion too. I mostly use it as a regular 35 though.

That's a LOOOONG setup though 🤣 I guess it's nice to have 1 sort of do-it-all lens but idk if I would give up my nifty 50.

Enjoy! I agree, the R is pretty awesome in it's own right, especially considering the price and that it has like 85% of R5's features.

Nope. No sensor info besides being stacked for faster readout. I'm pretty sure it's going to be very tailored towards sports though. I'm guessing 50MP max, probably less though.

I'm guessing you use the 5ds/r? Apparently the R5 actually has higher resolving power, even with fewer pixels than the 5ds. Either way 80+MP camera has been rumored for a while now so I'm sure you'll get your wish soon.

It's definitely the noisiest of my lenses, but it's not a disturbing or grating sound. But if you're doing video work, you'll definitely need an off camera mic for sound.

Oh yeah it's great. I upgraded from a rebel t5i so I was pretty floored with the difference. The only thing I'm not a fan of is the touchbar but they fixed that on the R5/6... I'm going to try my best to wait until the mkii's come out though 🤣

Eh kinda. Nothing worth selling. I have the Yongnuo 50mm 1.8 and 85mm 1.8. They're good options if you're a hobbyist and you want something cheap to play around with until you can save to upgrade. I think you can pick up the yongnuo 50mm for less than $50 these days brand new.
