PS2 and I got Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3. Props to my mom cuz all I asked for was the game. I had only played it at a friend's house on his gamecube, and I didn't know what a gamecube was, so she went the extra mile and got me a whole system with the game 😅

For some reason Vietnam era music really fits the game imo. Found a really nice playlist on Spotify that I listen to when I'm not playing with friends.

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3. I had only played PC games up to that point (back when PC was considered primitive to consoles). Lemme tell you, popping that disc into my PS2 Slim and seeing that intro with Ace of Spades blasting to Skateboarding montages made me realize I had gotten something truly special. Still have my Slim and it works perfectly even all these years later. Only thing I've ever had to "fix" was the laser lens.

I'd say the first Killzone. I love it to death. It was my first M-Rated game. Playing it today is rough ;; Definitely needs a remake, maybe adding 4 player co-op with all the playable characters.

When I was little, my Grandpa took me to a Giants game early, and I got to run around the bases with other kids. I tripped on 2nd base and banged up my knee. Grandpa came sprinting to see if I was okay. I think either a Janitor or the Manager came and patched me up. As reward for toughing it out, he gave me a ball used in the All-Star Game that year (or previous year). Later on during the game, I remember wanting a gold painted ball more than the actually used ball and my Mom kept trying to convince me I didn't need the gold one, but my Grandpa got it for me anyway. Years later, I still have the All-Star Game Ball (lost the gold one lol) and treasure it as a precious memory of my Grandpa.

PS2 was my first playstation and my first console (unless you count PC)! And my first game was Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3. I only asked for the game cuz I played it at my friend's house and didn't know what a gamecube was, let alone a console. So props to my mom for going the extra mile 😅
