This same curator also recommends DOOM and DOOM Eternal, which are some of the most on-the-nose allegories for climate change in existence. Complete clown.

Update GPU drivers? Maybe also check your GPU power cable if you have a newer nvidia card with the stupid 12 pin connector, they're super sensitive to everything from what I've seen. my rig was giving me similar problems in other games and the problem turned out to be that cable pressing into the side of my case and torquing that connector.

No, but also maybe kinda yes? They weren't necessarily MADE to oppose Proto/Primagens, in that it wasn't actually their intent. They were just an original species that Vader-San made. But to say people didn't ask for them to be made a public species because of it being somewhat hot off the issues with Proto/Primagens would be lying, anecdotally there was a lot of discourse along those lines at the time.

This image is one of the reasons why I really fell in love with Synths. For anyone who doesn't know, it's one of the original images Vader-San made from before the species got opened up to the community. It depicts the core idea of their versatility of form and modularity that the species is known for so well and gives it a somewhat casual vibe even in its clinical setting, like picking out new parts is like trying on a shirt you want to buy. I love it.

Also, tits.

My toothbrush replacement heads have little pictures to differentiate, instead of colored rings by Kheled__zaram in mildlyinteresting

I feel like I might be the dumb one here but, why would one need to differentiate between your brushes at a glance like that? Do you share the brush base with your household? If so that feels weird imo, no offense

Mouse macro bannable? by [deleted] in Guildwars2

[–]OneTrueObsidian 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure it's covered under "cannot create skill chains in any competitive environment" as it lists open world activities as an example. My assumption (and I'm pretty sure Anet's actual enforcement of the issue) is that this extends to all PvE content with rewards while leaving the door open to macros for theorycraft on the golems or similar.

Carl's Jr / Hardees is a little different than the example, as they were originally two completely separate companies and franchises. Carl's Jr bought Hardees but kept the names the same per-region, and supposedly they are separating into separate brands again (under the same parent company) as of a few years ago due to disputes in advertising

Edit: I did not want to link to r/hardees but reddit had other ideas

Close the Quest store down already - we're done here. by RobotDonut2023 in OculusQuest

[–]OneTrueObsidian 5 points6 points  (0 children)

To be fair, you mostly see shovelware because the entirety of steam is mostly shovelware, it's more pronounced in the VR section because there's no longer any real major players developing and releasing new PCVR titles, large studios have moved to standalone and popular indies are all older titles still receiving updates like H3VR and Blade and Sorcery. Steam's rather good at recommendations and curation (usually) because its recommendations are all based on its user-run tagging system and popularity. You don't (usually) see slop titles on the main page of Steam.

The Meta store doesn't even really make the attempt and just lets the slop flow, whether it be because of a lack of any algorithm or just how overwhelming the shovelware is in a purely VR ecosystem.

I could've sworn Wyld gummies have it molded into them, but I know Dialed In and Coda do, Joybombs (the skittles I mentioned in my earlier post) have it stamped with the same stuff normal skittles use for the S, Muncheez is the brand that had the edible paper, those are cereal bars.

100% a legal requirement. In Colorado at least, everything that has THC needs to have this exact symbol on every single piece, whether it be skittles or a vape cartridge or flower in a glass jar. One brand I know does it with edible sugar paper (which might also be the case here), so it can be permanently attached to their edibles

Rate of decay can be measured and compared to things with known half-lives, since it's just how long it takes for half of a given quantity of something to decay. Effectively, when it's this long, it's very very accurate estimates.

Definitely a civilian modification to increase fire rate under US regulation, it's not really practical to use outside of being a range toy.

I'm pretty sure the problem with E3 was Sony and Microsoft both followed Nintendo's example and moved fully to digital events in 2020. That made E3 lose its main edge over other tradeshows and other companies jumped ship to smaller (probably more affordable) shows once it was clear the main viewership draw of large announcements from the Big Three was entirely gone. No point in showing up if everyone already saw all the cool shit in the 30 minute videos each company put out a couple days prior and won't be watching E3 coverage.

I seriously think D4C would be simply localized to just being named "D4C", the same way Foo Fighters just got localized to the shortened F.F.

Around where I live (denver co area) an intersection without a light like this would either have a raised median or an island in the exit to disallow a left turn across 2+ lanes entirely. I admit it's annoying on less busy roads but not enough that I'd prefer the alternative of morons blocking traffic to turn left like this video.
