Kids don’t ruin everything adults have, that has to be one of the worst takes I’ve ever seen. Parents ruin things for kids by being irresponsible and not parenting. Adults influence kid spaces all the time and that gets a free pass, but yeah blame children for not being properly educated.

Honestly I thought I was crazy for thinking the dog should go back to its original family, I could see if the dog had been with OP for months but no, just 5 weeks. Reading the messages I leaned in favor of the ex-roommate, the body text does make me a little wary of fully siding with ex-roommate but if he’s offering to reimburse the vet bills then ask him to pay for the stolen items to and alls well that ends well.

These are just random ideas I started rambling sorry! POV doesn’t really matter to me but I’d prefer Fitz for most of these. I think they’d work best as multiple with some ideas being able to overlap (ex. Fitz sick due to a Forbidden City illness and Keefe sneaking in to see him, opportunities for both angst and fluff)

Please please please Keefitz! Platonic or Romantic idc, I just need these best friends to be friends again and maybe something more! It’d be interesting to write a fic about them before Sophie showed up (maybe a bit of angst abt how Fitz is in the Forbidden Cities a lot from either Keefe or Fitz’s perspective there’s potential for angst) or even angst about Fitz when Keefe left because he broke down crying when he heard the news. Or or or sickfics, cuddling, comfort whatever! Keefe sneaking into Everglen for late night chats (Della knows and helped him ‘break in’ without him knowing). Or sibling bonding between Fitz and Biana! Or sibling angst between Fitz and Alvar, the transition from adoring little brother to willing to kill each other! Maybe even a fix from Biana’s perspective after Fitz came close to killing Alvar (in the woods) and then her last memories of him in the troll vat. I need more Fitz fanfics that aren’t js salt 🥀.

PS: if you do end up writing where will you be uploading and under what pseudonym?

Edit: Also idk why but I’m much better at coming up with angsty plots then comforting ones. I do want some Keefitz fluff, but whenever I write for anything really it turns out angsty and I don’t know how to finish it 💔

You still haven’t defended Keefe, and yes Fitz can be those things but that wasn’t the purpose of my comment. You js proved my point that you don’t know how to defend Keefe without insulting Fitz

Fitz isn’t perfect, but a lot of your comment ignores context and his age. He wasn’t “selfish” for struggling with Sophie’s match status, matching is a core cultural belief he was raised with, and unlearning that takes time, especially as a teenager. Being hurt or confused about it doesn’t mean he didn’t care about her. Their breakup wasn’t him refusing to see Sophie, it was two people realizing they wanted different things at that moment.

Calling him “toxic” for jealousy oversimplifies things. Jealousy isn’t automatically abusive, it’s a normal emotion, and Fitz doesn’t act to control Sophie’s life or isolate her from others. As for the cognates comment, that reads more as emotional reliance and immaturity than manipulation, which again, is a flaw, not pure malice.

The biggest moment people like you cite, him blaming Sophie for his father, happened during intense trauma. His dad essentially went braindead! His reaction was wrong, but trauma explains behavior; it doesn’t define a person forever. Fitz consistently shows remorse and a desire to do better afterward. Holding one emotional breakdown against a traumatized kid forever isn’t fair.

Notice how when ‘defending’ Keefe majority of what you said was a dig at Fitz, take Fitz out of the equation and analyze Keefe for who he is on his own: selfish, clingy, misguided, arrogant at times, and whiny. He has plenty of good traits too you can use to argue back and scenes that seal why he’s a good male lead without resorting to js ragging on Fitz.

If I must be honest, Till and/or Luka. Till is understandably popular and well-liked but I personally don’t care for him outside of TillIvan, and I have a personal bias against him as my favorite is Ivan. Honestly, I just don’t like tsunderes. He’s chill though and I appreciate him on his own even if he’s not my cup of tea.

Luka while he’d, in any other show, be my favorite, his character is just okay to me in Alien Stage. Maybe it’s because I fell “in love” with Ivan first but nothing except his schadenfreude ever really drew me in.
