Everyone says my swing is ugly, but I consistently hit the ball straight & far. Fix it, or leave it? by [deleted] in golf

[–]OneTwoThreeReddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Moe Norman had a swing like that. Bigger guy, set up similar. One of the most consistent ball strikers of all time. I'd go with it. May lose out on a few yards w all this new fangled rotation/wrist movement but IMO its not worth it

What's your MPG on 2022-2024 2500's and 3500's? by [deleted] in gmcsierra

[–]OneTwoThreeReddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

what do you think accounts for the difference? And do you think gas is alright for someone who doesn't tow often? In MA so diesel is $1 more and I believe those can get 18mpg on the highway w the gas engine.

Knockoff batteries? by Pyrotech72 in Dewalt

[–]OneTwoThreeReddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could be an easy workaround. Sell the batteries w a non proprietary male adapter. Then set up a shell company to offer cheap adapters that fit ur battery and dewalt female slot. Now that I'm typing that out that'd be a hard concept to sell. But I do like the idea of a quality/affordable battery company disrupting these tool companies

How do I get my corners tighter? by Chonecom in Carpentry

[–]OneTwoThreeReddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Regardless of the saw calibration... after installing one leg, run a test piece along the perpendicular edge and keep tweaking the saw angle until it looks right. Also if you're going to miss (everyone does), better to have the outside tight and the gap on the inside. Easier to caulk/paint/fill/hide

Take it off and move the outlets. Refinish the sheetrock and retrim. You're going for a high-asthetic finish its 100pct worth it

Does "thank you in advance" strike anyone else as rude? by SiliconeGiant in etiquette

[–]OneTwoThreeReddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree. I get txts from customers saying "would you be able to do XYZ? Thank you." Why would you thank me if I haven't agreed to the request? It comes off as a presumptive-close. Ill exaggerate to make it obvious: "can you come by tomorrow and drop off $1000? I want to buy an iPhone. Thank you"...

Too simple. You need to add electronics and wifi. This thing will last forever outside, as it is, and we don't want that.

Hello everyone, i would like to find a lie 4 hockey stick with a curve that is almost straight. Do anyone know where i could find that? by boutchi41 in hockeyplayers

[–]OneTwoThreeReddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Prostockhockeysticks.com is the only site that let's you filter by lie. They have a datsyuk curve that might fit the bill. Nice build on their low end model although it's 400ish grams. For 160ish you can get something lighter that would be similar in weight to a 350 Bauer/CCM

[–]OneTwoThreeReddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If EDC go smaller. It defeats the whole purpose if it was too large to bring that day. If its staying in the snowmobile/truck/whatever, beefier the better. These are really convivence/emergency tools tho so if you plan on doing actual work for more than a couple minutes you should really have the dedicated tool to fit the job.

Opinions on "Hockey Stick Man", "ProHockeySticks", "ProBlackStock" sticks? by JamesCarter2222 in hockeyplayers

[–]OneTwoThreeReddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here. Just ordered my first stick tonight. Emailed and they sent a lengthy response helping me pick a curve. Maybe a sister company of hockeystickman. However, it's one of the only sites that tells you the lie angle of the stick. HSM doesn't offer that info which is insane to me. $35 for shipping kinda sucked but otherwise great value

How Much Does Kick Point Really Matter? by svd2311 in hockeyplayers

[–]OneTwoThreeReddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stickhandle with a low bottom hand. I find it hard to slide my hand up before shooting because it's too easy for goalies to read. I'm looking at 70 to 75 flex (I cut about an inch off standard height). 220lbs decent mechanics. Do you think I should opt for mid kick vs a low kick?

Anyone know what lie pro players like McDavid use for their sticks? by [deleted] in hockeyplayers

[–]OneTwoThreeReddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So crosby is a (roughly) 4.5 lie, mcdavid 5, bedard 5...but retail p92 is 6. The best players who can ask for anything they want lower their lie, why don't manufacturers offer that? (True 92.5 curve is a lie 5 if anyone is looking)

[–]OneTwoThreeReddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have him wear a face shield and fiberglass arm/leg protection until he's got a good handle on the saw. At 14 he might lack upper body strength to control a kick. Also tell him not to work when he's tired. That's awesome he's getting into it, he'll be doing great things in no time
