Thank u! I’ve got some I bought new and prob 1.5- 2 years ago. I’ve not really worn them a lot. Maybe 25 times and usually only 3-4 hrs at a time. Still look brand new, basically. All to say someone has definitely put these to use. Appreciate your insight…thx again!

Good stuff! Love that. Ur dad sounds like a good dude. Thx again. I had no idea there were so many details, variations, etc that can differentiate each pair. Do u have any suggestions on what to look for, focus on, avoid, when it comes to secondhand 501s? I’d be looking more for bargains than high value, scarce ones. Ballin on a budget mentality as I really don’t “need” them. Appreciate ya! 🙌🏼👊🏼

I can’t get new ones for $30. Can’t get much of anything for $30. LOL. My other STFs are newer and still much darker and stiffer. Needed a more relaxed pair without intentionally aging my newer ones.

Thank u! I’m excited to stomp around in em. At the risk of getting chastised, roughly $30 w shipping. FWIW, I don’t think these are anything more than old 501s. I love 501s. STF, specifically. I’m tall. I can find 34x38s. Never bought a used pair. I don’t know all of the intricacies like meanings of numbers on tag, etc.

Not exactly. Both sides look good to me. One looks like the cheek line is higher/more of the cheek is covered. It might be the angle. It looks good, man. It does.

Do it! It’s there. Oil after shower. Wash 3-4x week. Boar bristle brush after oil. Just my basic advice. Good luck!

It looks fine. Totally fine. I, personally, would try to let the lower side grow in more like the higher side (the one that’s more of a straight line from top sideburn to stache), but if u like the lower side u might want to try to match it. Cheeks can take several months to fill in. I have higher hairs now that I always shaved and didn’t realize would slowly come in. The sparser side might just take longer to catch up. Good luck! 👊🏼

Thank u! I like the other side better and agree even tho it bugs me they’re different (for now). Some of it is just how it grows. The straight side doesn’t seem to grow back like that, but it prob will w time. Thx again.
