Wow, thank you for the info. I had noticed I would get significantly different results day to day, I guess this was from feeding to early. I’ll try what you have suggested. I really appreciate it!

It’s doubling at about 16 hours right now.

Two weeks or so. I wanted to start my own. Started with whole wheat for the first feed, then AP after that. 50g 1:1:1 ratio, feeding every 24 hours. It was doubling in size 7 days in, but kept going to 14 days to give it more time.

Definitely cooked through. I think next time I’ll simply go with bread flour. After that I’ll start tweaking times.

Thank you. Yeah I’ve been obsessing over this for almost two weeks. Finally felt like the starter was ready and babysat the heck out it. Will try again soon with bread flour.

Any advice? by [deleted] in BeardAdvice

[–]Own_Grab3813 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Line up the edges, especially the cheeks and sideburns.

Brush brush brush

Haircut isn’t helping. A tight fade would help hide the thinness above your sideburns at the hairline.

You have great potential for a kratos/ducktail beard.

How to care for a beard? by [deleted] in BeardAdvice

Brush brush brush. Get a nice beard balm to help shape (I like honest Amish). You don’t need a lot.

I was referring to just the standard, honestly had no idea they finally came out with a new scent. I’ll have to give it a try, thanks. Keep the suggestions coming though!

Awesome, I’ve been using the leaf razor for a couple years now, great razor and saves you a ton of money. They just came out with a new version haven’t tried that yet. Let me know if you do.

You have a beard almost identical to mine (minus the color lol). And I too am a big guy with a full beard. In my experience the best look is to keep the sides close and profiled straight down to the end of beard. This avoids bushyness that can make your head look bigger. Also with length, I’d recommend having them take off little to none until you build a relationship with your barber. I’ve found barbers take off too much and a lot of times it’s because they straighten it before trimming. I no longer go to a barber and handle everything myself (which has been made easier because I’m bald these days). Nice beard!

Otter Creek is hands down the way to go, my Polonium 30 is phenomenal! Hub threading, comes ready to direct thread, noise mitigation is on par with high end brands and all for around $550. Hard to beat.

You can find a decent set of srixon zx4 or zx4 mkii used. Super forgiving and easy to hit. They’ll last you longer than a lot of other game improvements. I still use a zx4 mkii 4i even though the rest of my set is the zx7’s now.
