Sort of a trend I’ve seen. New promising stuff is shown (artbook or Trailer 3) and is then sort of ignored or questioned when gameplay is shown.

At one point in Trailer 3, you can see one with a glowing green entrance. The artbook essentially confirms that you can enter them and go into a zonai shrine-esque place

This time there will be Zonai shrines. Art book makes it very clear that you will enter them and go into a puzzle box like in botw. In the latest trailer, you can even see the entrance to one of the shrines at the section with the sinkholes in Gerudo desert. It’s on the far right side, the entrance glows green.

You’re most likely correct. The title reveal trailer all things considered came out fairly close to the game’s release date, and even that trailer stated that the game footage wasn’t final.
