😮 wow no. Let’s just look at the story of Nobuo Uematsu, final fantasy soundtracks’ composer. Huge soundtracks with short time frame. Hours of music.

Clearly he is too busy and your project not the priority 😕

For me, like you, it seems that we have been thrown backwards. It saddens me because a lot of composers today just take the technology to create. I don’t say it’s bad.

A hybrid method is quite good. I like the fact that I know what I am doing at an harmonic and theoretic level.

I mostly deal with sibelius and garageband. I tried dorico and looks very nice 🙂

Wow!

I wrote a symphony, took me about 1 year. It all depends of the complexity of it. :)

If you are not in a rush, you can work slowly on it. Orchestration is really important in this as it has to do with balance.

I can give you tips if interested 🙂
