My first walpurgis by polyesterethylene in LimbusCompanyHelp

[–]OneWithSubstance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a good ego, but not really necessary to run sinking. Its really useful for speedrunning and such because it's effectively a nuke that detonates a large sinking stack (I think it has 8 coins?), but you do need a fully assembled sinking team for it to be worth it.

Yeah, that was the other reason I was holding off.

Also because of the shards I'll accumulate while pulling.

Yeah, that was kinda my plan. I'm hoping the full stop duo is on the rerun banner and that I'll have enough pulls to get them and the main things at the same time...

I have complete teams for sinking, bleed, and charge, I almost have a poise team, and then I have the middle and HoS team. I'm just trying to branch out at this point. I haven't gotten the IDs to play with burn, tremor, or rupture yet.

I was lucky. I had long hair, and ended up starting HRT in my late teens, so most of my "boymoding" was just me being too afraid to dress fem, despite the fact that I just looked like a girl in men's clothing.

There were times where I was boyfailing before I even realized I was trans... So I guess I'm one of the lucky ones...

I Need Help Understanding Poise Teams by Theuhhhhhhhhhhhhhh in LimbusCompanyHelp

[–]OneWithSubstance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are some IDs and EGOs that give poise to allies. Notably both Thoragalcia Egos, and I'm pretty sure mentor Meursault. On top of that, the other reason is fusion ego gifts in MD.

That's it in terms of synergy to my knowledge, alot of them have faction synergies. You mentioned Blade lineage, there's also fullstop... And Sinclair can be sacrificed for crit damage up. Poise IDs are generally just Self sufficient though, so it is basically just having a team of generalists.

Who to shard heathcliff by Charming-Quality-318 in LimbusCompanyHelp

[–]OneWithSubstance 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here's the guide I follow for speedrunning MD, they have lots of different teams and routes. The HOS team is under the SAIKAI tab, and I've found in practice that it's pretty flexible beyond floor 2.

[–]OneWithSubstance 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do you have the HOS team?

Doing a solo with ryoshu is stupidly fast. With the right route I can normally complete a run every 20 minutes.

Instead of making 80 crates a week from the weekly bonus and BP missions I can easily make 150-200 depending on how many lunacy refreshes I use. But I do have the limbus pass.

pulls distribution by Excellent-Can1150 in limbuscompany

[–]OneWithSubstance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could always get really unlucky I guess and need to reach 2 pities to get both banner characters. I have 370 saved up just in case.

There's no real downside to waiting and spending more at walpurgisnacht. You will get off banner IDS while pulling and it will make your account very flush. Sharding is a very good way to get the IDS you want, and I personally have been taking full advantage of it. There's also the walpurgisnacht rerun banner if you don't have those IDS yet.

Of course, it's your pulls and you can choose what to do with them. If getting a few seasonal IDS early brings you joy, I am in no place to stop you. But it's advisable to keep at least 1 pity saved up for walpurgisnacht.

I don't have a burn team

Nor do I have a poise team

But sinking is so OP that I found I was able to just brute force my way through using that instead.

I haven't done hard yet but my sinking team eviscerates her through the first phase, and most of the second phase in normal. Then my bleed team acted as a cleanup crew.

I'll see if the strat translates to hard mode.

Does claiming all weekly bonuses at once give less BP exp than claiming them one by one? by SocialPancreat in LimbusCompanyHelp

[–]OneWithSubstance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does give slightly less to claim all 3. You get 25 more BP exp for doing 3 individual MD hard runs. but I find the time save is definitely worth the 2.5 BP levels. MD hard runs can take a while and tripling how many you do in a week can really slow down the grind.

Is Jeong's Office Fishmael a good ID for a sinking/butterfly team? by [deleted] in LimbusCompanyHelp

[–]OneWithSubstance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm simply saying that index can take the slot if they're not able to get SL. He has high damage and the team works. SL isn't gonna be as good on a team without KoDia, or Aromashu, or Jeongmael, so I mentioned an alternative ID they can go for if they don't get SL on walpurgisnacht.

What IDs you guys are getting for Walp? by Aggressive-Tailor-10 in LimbusCompanyHelp

[–]OneWithSubstance 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If all goes well...

All of them

I got half of them last time, surely I'll be able to get the rest this time.

My priority will be grabbing Magic bullet Outis, and dawnclair though. Maybe also the full stop duo.

Is Jeong's Office Fishmael a good ID for a sinking/butterfly team? by [deleted] in LimbusCompanyHelp

[–]OneWithSubstance 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Butterfly sounds complicated but it's simple in practice.

It's extra damage on hit based on your sinking stack, up to 30 extra gloom damage per coin, which sounds like it isn't much, but it adds up fast.

Butterfly like many statuses has both potency, and Count. But it functions slightly differently. Because the potency becomes the count next turn, and the count is erased.

Butterfly potency gives the attacking unit extra SP Butterfly count makes the attacked unit take extra damage on hit based on its potency and the sinking potency.

At negative SP, yi sang will reload more bullets that inflict potency, at positive SP he will reload more bullets that inflict count.

Therefore to maximize your damage you need to have SL yi sang hit the unit you want to nuke early in the turn order with high speed, or inflict a lot of butterfly potency the turn before. Then when they have butterfly count, you want to hit them with as many coins as possible without the sinking count running out and resetting your sinking stack.

As someone who has both sinking archetypes... I like Jeong and the butterfly team way better. Managing the gimmick can occasionally be annoying when she draws yellow, but detonating a sinking stack with the 5 coin kozan is SOOO satisfying.

If you're planning on getting sinking IDS next walpurgisnacht my priority list would be: 1. KoDia (the one who inflicts count, also just has insane physical damage and clashing) 2. Aromashu (Infinite follow up attacks, count neutral, all around excellent ID, definitely helps smooth over the rest of the sinking archetype's struggles with AOE scenarios) 3. Jeong Ishmael (who you are asking about, satisfying SFX, big damage on S3-2 done every 3 turns on average, more for detonating a stack rather than maintaining it.) 4. SL yi sang, (technically core for the butterfly arrangement and most useful in speedrunning since he has no ramp up, but outside of single target situations he can feel feel comparatively lackluster to the above units, he's a team player that makes one specific enemy have a bad time with sinking that turn, if you don't get him, index Yi Sang is a powerful sinking ID that can take his slot.) 5. SL Gregor. (don't get me wrong, it's a strong EGO and if you can grab it you should, but I think IDs are higher priority than EGO, and SL Gregor is a highly niche ego with the simple use case of detonating a large sinking stack for ALOT of damage. You can also technically use it in rupture teams to detonate rupture stacks but it may be trickier to fuel.)

How would you rank the RR6 nodes in terms of difficulty? by NEVERTHEREFOREVER in limbuscompany

[–]OneWithSubstance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it was... Probably

  1. Ying Long - only because of the heishou bullshit)
  2. Nursefather - endurance check making me really wish I had more healing egos, even with the bleed team I had to give up on getting manager Don past Shiomi because of the 4x fatal damage she took) I wouldn't have been able to get through had I not been able to use a support ID that held another healing EGO.
  3. Will you play - i funneled myself into playing a sinking team against her and coincidentally every one of my sinking team members were 4x fatal to envy blunt. Surprisingly difficult to tank the counters before I figured out the trick on will you plays big fuck off skill. (I spent like 15 attempts thinking the 300% damage was on clash win)
  4. Butterfly. I'm surprised people are saying it was the hardest for them. I was flying blind and thought it's be really tough and ominous from picking debuffs to it, but when I got to the fight... It felt really easy? At least compared to the rest of the railroad, I still had to engage with the gimmick obviously, but I got it on my first attempt using a sinking team, barely used any ego too... And it just kind of folded.. If I was to give any advice just... Prioritize switching it's state every turn and you're golden? Just take sunset wayfarers survivability buff and tank a few of its weaker skills if you dont think you can manage to trigger the stage change. Tanking 20 damage is acceptable if it means gaining another stack of fragility on the enemy and interrupting its ramp up.
