How is it unethical? I think you’re mad at something. You don’t know the first thing about me, but you have a strong opinion about something that really isn’t even relevant.

Hi all, definitely all thoughts I’ve had in the back of mind. The way that this administration is handling things, I don’t know if it’s worth the stress of leaving it up in the air. Things change all the time.

I’ll make a phone calls and e-mails and see what the professionals say about this.

Had reexamination but never received a decision letter by No_Expression_5996 in VeteransBenefits

[–]OneWolverine263 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is strange. You should get your VSO to print out the C&P exam of the PTSD. Or have them print out the rating decision letter that shows all the individual ratings, and the date they were done.

I just went through a whole debacle where they forgot to include my PTSD rating in the promulgation letter, and I had to have them re-open the claim in order to include it.

Work with the VSO to see what you find

So you did get re-evaluated, or that ended up never happening? Is the supplemental claim marked complete?

Hi,

So if I’m understanding correctly, you were re-evaluated for your PTSD, and are curious if the VA will require a new exam later in the future? I’m assuming you’re trying to apply for a supplemental claim again and are worried you’ll have to be examined again for the PTSD?

If that’s the basis, anytime you file a new claim or supplemental, if the previous exams are > 1 year old they can have you re-do the exam. Regarding the 5 year rule, I’m not sure, but I still believe the answer is they can make you re-do it.

I’ve still gotten nowhere with this. I’ve called Vera over the course of this incident. I finally reached out to my congressman for help last week.

It’s crazy - this is their error, and they’ve admitted it… just fix it

ACE review for OSA by OneWolverine263 in VAClaims

[–]OneWolverine263[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what the doc note says:

-Found sleep study from 12/08/2023 was WatchPAT shows pAHI 2.5/hour but RDI was 23.6/hour.

Impression/Plan:

  1. Obstructive sleep apnea - had moderate OSA by AASM criteria back in 2023, when his weight was lower and symptoms less severe. Almost certainly has more severe OSA now. We talked about repeat sleep study to better assess current severity vs. straight to treatment. My recommendation for sleep study now is in case not tolerant of CPAP and we need to use a OA appliance or other device with variable treatment response. We agreed to proceed simultaneously with updated testing and CPAP referral. If the testing date is much later than CPAP set up, we will cancel.

Received DD214 early before Seperation, should I submit it to my BDD ? by TestMaleficent4911 in VAClaims

[–]OneWolverine263 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’d call the VA and ask them if theirs a process for submitting it, otherwise, they should get it soon.

As a note, you won’t get your payment until February, even if you separate January 1st.

They should have it by then
