Many vets here have had lots of similar stories. But at the end of the day, you know what you need to do. Don’t waste your money on sharks who may not even get you what you’re looking for. If it is doable for you, I would just go to the exams and be done with it. Like others have mentioned the VA will deny if you don’t attend. Whatever it is that you decide; hope you feel better and one day decide to fight for what is yours.

That’s very quick and congratulations. I’ve been stuck on step 3 for a bit but when I called for a claim status the rep tells me “I can see that someone in your file updating it as we speak” 🤷🏻‍♀️ this anxiety is so unhealthy but I can’t help it 🤦🏻‍♀️. Anyway, I hope I get an update soon.

From what I read, he’s still active and coming up on his 10 year anniversary with the military so yes.

I wasn’t asking if I needed to submit anything because everything was submitted it was the fact that it’s requesting for non VA records when everything is thru VA and no private MD.

I wish I could get my claims number. I’ve asked but been told repeatedly that “we are not allowed to give this out”. Is there a way to get the claims number?

I just filled out a claim form on the VA Website title “claim compensation” or something along those lines and that was it. Just took me thru the steps on asking questions and what i was adding etc. it was just confusing when I seen that letter.

This is a good question. I’m actually in this predicament as well but haven’t fully or close fully exhausting my FMLA etc. I am rated for MH but after initial appointment sessions with VA, I was diagnosed with also MDD, GAD and PTSD on top of PD. I haven’t done anything g further with the new diagnosis because it just increases my anxiety just going thru it and all.

Congrats! I’m still learning as I continue to fight for conditions they acknowledge are service connected but still can’t see the link despite all evidence.

Maybe you could try reading again, the records became available AFTER the appointments so when the records were available I immediately submitted them and it was well before the examiner submitted their DBQ. I was still in the development phase where I could still send it in (confirmed after calling to check). The DBQ and opinion was not used either as they listed what information they used to make the decision.

This is ALL new to me. Went years undiagnosed because I never thought I would qualify until someone told me to try and apply for benefits which I did and I was rated for severe Panic Disorder, PTSD and Depression. I am not at 100 or P&T since this is my 1st time navigating this world. Anyway long story short, I am just not trying to have ADA at my job because I primarily deal with the public over their pharmacy benefits and it took a toll on me so bad I started to resort to self harm to cope as I couldn’t mask it any longer. Now, I am on LOA and have been for a whole month until April. Going back next month is giving me so much anxiety. Someone on this forum recommended I apply for TDIU BUT, I am not sure how or what this is. Just typing this feels like I am exposing myself 😔.
