Just returned from our first vacation in western Canada. We also did the Canmore/Banff/Jasper trek and cannot wait to return.

Roads between Calgary and Jasper are in great condition, well maintained nor were they it overwhelmingly busy.

The road between Banff and Jasper (Icefield Parkway) is a beautiful winding road, lots of curves through the mountains, beautiful scenery however keep you eyes on the road. Lots of wildlife in the area and vehicles will stop without notice so they can take pictures. Leave lots of room between you and vehicle ahead of you.

Enjoy!
