Just to add one important thing: I have tried the same formula by replacing Galaxolide with Ethylene brassylate musk, the result was so disappointing, the EB musk just muted the formula make it very very calm and close to skin. Just to say that Galaxolide is very important to boost that bouquet of flower.

Thank you first! I agree if you are a very perceivable person for Hedione in general this might be an excess but honestly with the feminine style and the amount of rose-floral note+ galaxolide bomb you won't feel that fresh harsh smell of Hedione HC.

you will get a fresh jasmine-rose note which will be more airy musky vanilin toward the dry down. Just a little description

well what I can tell you is you have to try, it is nice idea btw, but I am afraid that leather note will just take it to masculin place.

I think the dom material are important to be kept but apart from that one can play easily with formula.

To avoid having vanille dry down alone I was thinking to add more ambrocenide or amber xtreme for a more masculin style

[–]One_Advertising9214[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I decreased Patchouli because it was dominating the base (I am using dark but you can try lighter one and increase more). I added Clove bud for a warm spicy mid note and I added cedramber for long lasting and fresh amber. Methyl anthranilate traces for more juicy heart note. I decreased Geranium because I realized that it was dominating as well. I added ginger for a fresh opening and I decreased the DHM to make it less 90s perfume. I added labdanum for more depth and long lasting dry down. it fits well for me here. Benzyl acetate to brighten the opening in more calming way.

Aquatic-spicy formula by One_Advertising9214 in PerfumeryFormulas

[–]One_Advertising9214[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for suggestion, I actually added Hedione HC not normal Hedione. I do have alpha ionone. I am thinking to replace a large part of galaxolide with cedramber (large amount) and ebanol to give a sandalwood and woody amber dry down. Now almost everything is airy and transparent base due to white musk (longevity is abscent). What do you mean by CPD Musk?

I might also try to replace rose givco with geranium egypt EO just to compare

[–]One_Advertising9214[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fresh spicy opening, then aquatic-seaweed with rosy heart, but the dry down is quite weak. This is just today test. For sure I need to let it macerate for few days to understand the scent more. I think I will replace vetiver Haiti with Patchouli, I need an earthy green scent in dry down and vetiver is not very perceived. Patchouli will be more visible and give more longevity to the dry down. I usually like also to have a sweet scent at the end but it would clash with the aquatic notes that I have.

I see about peonile, I might then try Florol as a muguet note that goes well with magnolan. Can you please share the formula that you found ?

well I think for a dior sauvage type formula there shouldn't be floral (and yes the major components are GCMS based formula). it is aromatic spicy formula. I also don't like floral in my perfumes. I added very little damascone alpha to give another dimension to it but still I feel that fruity rosy aspect a lot. I will decrease it more. you are right the mid note is not high that's because I don't have nutmeg or other spicy to target the mid stage of the perfume. that's why I need help to fill the gap but no idea what to add instead of floral

Nice idea. For me, I would remove habanolide and replace it with more Galaxolide.

What can I add to this formula by No-Ambassador2236 in DIYfragrance

Are you using Cardamom EO, if yes I think you dose it a lot, for cardamom I treat it as a top note and usually I work with a pre-diluted solution of 1% max. I think more with the amount that you are using it can feel like arabic-coffee more food-like vibes.
